I agree with Murdoc, you're better off changing the struts when you install the lowering springs. You save the install time and the cost of an extra alignment doing it once.

Even in perfect, brand new condition, struts valved to control a 200lb spring will not be effective when paired with a 350lb lowering spring and as a result the ride will be harsh and performance poor. Since the struts are already old and the seals aren't holding as well anymore, the effects will just be worse.

If you really want to go ahead with it though, opt for springs with the lowest spring rates and therefore closest to stock you can find. Neuspeed springs are pretty close to stock, iirc.

Will it make a difference what cassette adapter I buy for my car? Will one produce better sound quality than another? Mine broke due to the cord so I'm looking at one that has a retractable cord although I'm afraid it won't produce good sound.

Thanks guys

Thats why I said its misleading, that picture would be the same on a 55" and 80", cutting the 55" size on the sample picture makes people think by buying the 80", they will see more of the show, showed this to my parents, they thought they'd get more picture out of the 80" :rukidding:

So I'm about to have my class 5 test in the next few weeks. What am I supposed to know? It's been 2 years and my driving habits have slipped.
Also, I'll be driving manual for my class 5. I heard I'm not supposed to switch gear or anything while turning, right?

Thanks.

Hands at 10 2, make sure you shoulder check everything, the left lane is only for passing so stay in the right lane when driving. Don't palm or hook your hand on the steering wheel while turning. Come to a complete stop at all stop signs and make you u can see the bottom of the cars tires in front of you when you do stop...

It's fricken simple you have nothing to worry about just drive and always be shoulder checking and shit.

belaud 05-11-2012 09:17 AM

Do not neutral drop, always keep the car in gear, downshift when appropriate, the ride has to be SMOOTH, if you stall/verge of stalling, you fail. If you shift and the car jitters, you get points deducted.

Is there a particular reason why you will be driving manual for the class 5 test?

That's the point of marketing isn't it? To get people to buy shit they don't need?

Also it's not directly misleading cause they specifically say viewable screen size and nothing with resolution, picture quality or even "seeing more of your picture". If people choose to interpret it wrongly and make a purchase without asking the question, then clearly the marketing is sound.

I wouldn't reccomend taking your class 5 test with a manual car unless you are 100% comfortable with it. Auto is always better for driving tests because you don't have to worry about shitty shifts and stalls.

Shit, ok thanks guys.

It's just that my parents are at work, so I can't use their car.
Guess I'll maybe ask a friend or something.

Thanks.

I remember there was a thread where people posted coupons for Staples. like $10 off, $20 off, $30 off and it was stack-able. Anyone know where it went?

TIA

Don't worry about it. I showed up for my class 5 in my rat bagged 86 with a spare t50 in the back of the gutted interior.he was worried about the tranny becoming a missile and about my car being generally unsafe so i left my tranny outside at the place, drove like normal except more shoulder checks etc, and walled away with 100%.

If you daily a mt there's no reason not to take your test in one.
