lol local lawyer organizes children's laser tag birthday party at Planet Lazer, sues for (among other things) a lack of decorations and being charged for bringing in a vegetable platter, awarded $37.50 from the $350 in damages she asked for. https://www.canlii.org/en/bc/bccrt/d...023bccrt7.html Basically every one of her claims were dismissed due to lack of evidence, except the fact Planet Lazer counted adults as 'participants' when the judge disagreed: Quote:

What a waste of court time and resources. Well, at least she spent more on filing the claim than she received from the judgement. |
Embarrassing on her part that this got out. I looked up her job profile - I wouldn't want her representing me in commercial real estate law. |
Last year for my son's 5th we did the birthday party package at the bowling alley. About a week before the party, Norovirus started running its course through the daycare. My son had it early in the week prior to the party, but by Friday night it both my wife and I caught it, and a bunch of other kids whose parents sent emails that they couldn't attend. So Saturday morning we were going to cancel the party and called the bowling alley, explain the situation and the possibility of Noro running through everyone that visited them that day, and to see if there was anything they could do to reschedule, or give us a credit or whatever. The bowling alley basically told us too bad, they didn't care. So we weren't going to throw a fit at the bowling alley or anything like that, like a karen, but we weren't going to lose our $450, so we carried on with the party as scheduled with those that were still set to attend. It was absolutely excruciating for both the wife and I, but we made it through. Once we got home, we basically didn't leave the couches for the rest of the afternoon. I was kind of hoping to hear about a Noro breakout at the alley afterwards. |
I actually had a great experience at Rev’s in terms of customer service lol We went to a friends bday at Rev’s and I didn’t know anyone but the birthday girl, so o proceeded to start guzzling beers to increase my social skills A few games in this kinda loud mouthed guy walks in front of one of those scoring kisosks you punch your names in etc. and he rips his shirt wide open. I kinda laugh and think “lol what a knob” Fast forward a few beers later and I walk by the same kiosk and tear a fat hole in my shirt lol.. I’m looking at it being like wtffff.. I feel the machine and there’s threads of a screw sticking out like 3/4” inch at what’s eye level for a small kid. I show my wife and was kinda like ehh fuck.. she’s like nah fuck that goes and gets the manager and I show him like bro, ya got a screw sticking out eye level that ripped two of our shirts.. Mine was a brand new Lululemon tee which are like $70.. so I didn’t expect much. However the guy emailed me the next day then mailed me a rev’s cheque for $70 later that week. Honestly customer service like that should be the norm rather than the exception. It’s so fucking stupid to sour your customers over small shit. Especially when it’s your fault |
Does the super busty asian chick in her late 20s still work at revs? Me and another dude has a competition who could get her number first during our Christmas party Spoiler! |
dont let that stop you :lol ====== So i woke up and had this massive hankering for krispy kreme doughnuts. Drove there at like 7am to grab 2 dozen but i dislike the glaze on the doughnut (its too sweet... like British level of sweetness). is there any way to remove the glaze without destroying the integrity of the doughnut? my wife just wipes it off with a napkin but it looks like you stepped on the doughnut if you do that. I tried rinsing the doughnut in water but i wanted to throw up after eating that soggy mess. |

Badhobz is the kind of guy who likes to give a glaze, not get a glaze |
I stopped watching RCR ages ago but this popped up (thanks algorithm). I legit thought he was married but kept it private other than hearing a woman's voice in some of his travel videos. |

Dunno where to put this. But this is a great video on the economy, big tech decisions affecting other companies, and purchasing behaviors. I came across this video after finding out that Alex at Fitment Industries and several others at GrimSpeed, Subiespeed had gotten laid off. |
If any of you are looking for the Queen Toonie with the black band, Mint Canada just released them today. I just ordered two rolls. https://www.mint.ca/en/shop/coins/20...n-elizabeth-ii You can order by phone as well. They released them 6:00 am this morning our time (9:00 am EST). 5 million of the coins were struck for general circulation, but these are the only way you can get them in uncirculated condition. I was thinking these would be sold out quickly, but was told no set mintage................. Wah???? Still, people will sell them for hundreds of dollars per roll on eBay. There's a limit of three rolls per household (like that stops anyone, gulolol). The circulation coins have been out in the public via banks and laundromats since last year, but I haven't seen any. They even had a coin exchange in Winnipeg back then. None made it out west, I guess............ |
^manic will be the first to order these. He loves lizzy Coin collecting and stamp collecting is such a generational thing. My mom has a crap load of stamps and coins and to me it’s all just junk. She’s like ohhh it’s worth something. No it’s not. You’ll never sell it, so it ain’t worth jack. And I’m sure as shit their value will depreciate as the younger generation don’t give a rats ass about this kind of stuff. First day covers ? More like throw it in the garbage envelopes. Who uses stamps anymore ?!! |

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/132814217964...Bk9SR_Lj1em9YQ Another example........... https://www.arpinphilately.com/itm/c...ite-paper-1907 I'm in search of a perfect copy of this stamp. It has eluded me for 5 decades. We're talking perfect copy. One of a kind. I have a lame copy where the image is off centre and has been hinged to a page by the previous owner. Even modern day stamps have potential to be worth a pretty penny. I purchased a couple of Lunar New Year Uncut Press Sheets from Canada Post at face value (I have standing order with them). That thing sold out instantly and now fetch five times the original value. Nobody can get one anymore, so they will keep increasing in price. I actually have every uncut press sheet ever produced by Canada Post. The earlier ones I paid through the nose for, but it's complete. Another cool thing I got, for free from a stamp dealer friend was a first day cover of the Canada in Space stamp. The cover was signed by all members of the team. Bondar, Hadfield, Garneau, etc. Probably not worth anything, but cool nonetheless. Oh, forgot......... hockey stamp cards. Autographed ones. Bobby Orr, Esposito, Howe, Bower, Horton, etc. I even have a signed and framed Mario Lemieux stamp and coin set. All the Star Trek stuff, too. Yeah, nearly 60 years of collecting. My pride and joy are these little known gems that Canada Post created to be given out to foreign dignitaries showcasing Canadian stamps. Stamps in very nice presentation folders. Given out at the Congress of the Universal Postal Union. Every four years they meet. There are some that you cannot get anywhere for any price............. not known or mentioned in any catalogs. The ones that are mentioned are starting to take off in price. I have a hygrometer in just about every room in the house. Humidity kills stamps. |
