This is just par for the course for big Corp. they couldn’t care less about all the cancels

They will weather the PR storm and be more profitable once they can bill for those extra users on single accounts

Bandwidth costs are way more with 4k. Floatplane a streaming service by Linus Tech tips charges more for it.

I disagree. Investors and the investment community use subscriber numbers as a metric to make decisions on whether a company is growing or shrinking and in turn, leads to a buy or avoid situation.

whitev70r 02-10-2023 06:50 PM

This just goes to show how entitled consumers are. I mean seriously, groups of unrelated people share one account, how is that justfiable in any model of subscription services? But because Netflix started that way, they can't pull back or else this. Spotify on the other hand, from day 1, it was done the right way. Discount for 2nd or 3rd person etc.

Hondaracer 02-10-2023 06:50 PM

This isn’t a brash decision. It’s for long term profits

sonick 02-10-2023 06:55 PM

This was a pretty significant strategic business decision for Netflix. It will be an interesting case study for business schools in future regardless of which way it goes.

That trailer literally made me fall asleep in my seat. You already know exactly how the movie will unfold from start to finish, it's all boring inconsequential CGI action bullshit.

YOU WATCH YOUR MOUTH.
I can't wait, even though they really fucked up by not calling it

What are the lease buyout fees like are like nowadays for a BMW? Is there room to shop around or is it pretty much standardized?

I'm sure the analysis and debate internally on this took a loooooooong time. Time to juice up profitability. If it fails, everyone will hop jobs for a 20% pay bump :awwyeah:

Damn, Sheryl Lee Ralph........... what a voice. Powerful and very in control. Just pre-game. Anthem by whoever has gotta be good. And, of course, halftime show!

BTW, my ankle is fine............ and, I don't watch NFL. In for commercials, gulolol

My buyout in 2021 seemed pretty standard. The whole thing seems non-negotiable when I bought out my car. You only shop around to see who charges the least fees.

MG1 02-12-2023 05:50 PM

Okay, I never watch NFL, but this game is actually interesting. KC Chiefs. Love the circle the wagon, razzle dazzle, move.......... didn't result in anything, but cool nonetheless.

Offensive coordinator on both sides doing a good job. Okay, players are good, but without the proper play calls none of it matters. Eagles first half pedal to the metal offence....... impressive. 4th down gambles that paid off. I thought Eagles would run away with this game. Still not over.

Spoke too soon. Eagles down by two...... two pointer?

All tied. Wow.

I watch 70 games a season and this is a really good Super Bowl game. Especially after last year's punt fest

Best commercial so far was that trailer for a biopic of the Nike ad executive. Looks almost like a real movie! LUL

SkinnyPupp 02-12-2023 05:58 PM

CJGJ was the BOOM on Pacheco.. That might take him out and that would be HUGE

Edit: Or not LUL

I am surprised they aren't pressuring Mahomes more and testing out that leg

I'm watching on TSN and Fox, but it's watered down, I think. Harvey's commercials? Too lazy to stream it.

Anyway, this has to be one of the better Super Bowl games.

MG1 02-12-2023 06:03 PM

Man, that must be some potent pain killers Mahomes sucking up the pain. So much on the line.

SkinnyPupp 02-12-2023 06:05 PM

Mahomey chewing codeine pills in the tent during this break

I do think he's playing it up a bit... Not that I blame him!

That would be a Messier move. More honour in football, methinks...........

SkinnyPupp 02-12-2023 06:08 PM

Ref decided to end the game early

MG1 02-12-2023 06:10 PM

What? Taking a big gamble here............ what if kicker misses? LOL.
