In case anybody wants to try to bag their own rich sugar momma Shanghai girl. Note: looks not guaranteed.

Well... shit... I should get a haircut, put on my best suit, borrow one of badhobz's watches, park my shitbox really far away and just show up at the meet and wait for the magic to happen.

On occasion I'm helping clients with labour work on weekends, they pay me cash. Roughly few hundred bucks a month here and then whenever they need help. One asked for an invoice now, I guess for business taxes purposes. I'm not a business, more like a freelance side gig type thing that's isn't earning a lot with this, am I correct I don't need to register for business? How do I issue the client an invoice? Make one up?

After you succeed getting married, you too, will be driving a Lexus like badhobz. You won't even need to borrow his watch either

Except badhobz will be jealous of you, because your wife will be buying her own handbags

Vice has a good documentary on "China's leftover women", that's what the article reminded me of

You don't need one unless you make more than 30K lifetime with these gigs. And if you do, it could still be self employment but you would need a GST #

As for your question, yes just make one. Google invoice template

i'd just ask him if a paper slip is fine, and ask if it's just for his personal records or if he wants to expense it. if he says personal records then just go to the dollar store and buy a receipt/invoice pad, and just scribble something down for those types of customers. usually that's all they want.

I’m jealous of anyone who can see their toes. I look down and only see the years of dim sum accumulation and poor life choices. Good thing my dick is artificially inflated by my enormous ego otherwise I wouldn’t be able to see the little fucker either.

While down there, get the Red Velvet Muffins. Last batch till next year!

I have a half dozen of them in the freezer. Damn, they're so good. I ask for frozen ones from their freezer. That way, they stay frozen in the cooler till I get home and put 'em in the freezer. That real cream cheese icing goes so well with the red velvet................. crushed insect food colouring, ftmfw!.

Q for the detached homeowners here - what kind of earthquake insurance do you have on your house? My policy is up for renewal and I've got $1m of coverage with a $100k deductible. I'm assuming that $1m is roughly how much it'd cost to replace our house if it ever came to that - is that a reasonable amount of coverage?

The worst part of the insurance is when there is a big enough earthquake there will be so much damage all of the insurance companies will go bankrupt and your insurance might not be covered. Fire and flood insurance is the most important thing in my eyes.

Hondaracer 02-21-2023 09:23 AM

We don’t have earthquake as it almost doubles the policy.

If the damage is so severe that I can’t fix my home for 100k, it’s pretty likely as Murdoc said that you either A) won’t be getting paid out period, or B) it’s going to take years to have your home rebuilt due to the lack of trades etc.

Given the age of our home our insurance company wouldn’t even give us more than 800k replacement cost anyways

Great68 02-21-2023 09:28 AM

I have water damage coverage (IE pipe or appliance burst)

But I don't bother with overland flood because I'm basically at the top of a hill, a good dozen meters above the nearby river and flood plains.

If my house goes underwater, we have bigger problems, like all the ice in Antarctica has melted.

yray 02-21-2023 11:35 AM

good luck getting earthquake unless you have existing earthquake

Great68 02-21-2023 03:28 PM

Are you talking to me? I have earthquake, was never an issue getting it?

alot of insurers are not providing earthquake coverage for new policies, only covering those that are renewing

Great68 02-22-2023 06:55 AM

Ok, your comment seemed a bit out of the blue, I was talking about flood insurance. What did earthquake insurance have to do with that?

He was speaking in general, not directly to you... Honda was talking about earthquake

Great68 02-22-2023 07:56 AM

Got it. Sorry, the way it was directly after my post made it seem like he was talking to me directly.

Badhobz 02-22-2023 07:57 AM

Honda… earthquake…. Only thing that comes to mind

Funny thing............. this morning, I get email from my insurance broker. Insurance is up 15% due to earthquake coverage increase. I just said, "Go for it." I've always trusted my broker to get the best deal. Broker does all the work. I just okay it. Went with Intact, btw.

Anyone have recommendations on UV blocking window film? Mostly to protect some figures from direct/indirect sunlight.
