No love for bed bath and beyond from your crossclimate eyebrow wife? They're closing too https://www.bedbathandbeyond.ca/ |
Nah, I don't think she ever went there |

The only deals that might be had would be Nordstrom's floor brands. Even then, I wonder if some brands might buyback or pullback stock? The high end boutiques inside are independent so they're not gonna firesale stock. |
Anyone have experience watching television via vanquis media or other IPTV apps? Not interested in grey market IPTV. Legit I'm contemplating taking advantage of Canadian Tire's Triangle Select, which comes with 6 months of free Crave. I want to watch "The Last of US." Also want to watch "the Mandalorian." It's on Disney+. I'm with Shaw and have the sports package, Sci-Fi and Discover. All-in-one would be great. As mentioned. Nothing illegal. Just want all-in-one solution. TIA (thanks in advance)............. I used to put that at the end of my messages, until one day, I get reply with "Dear TIA, we would like to assist you with your request," gulolololol. anyway.................... tia and god bless |
Shaw was giving out Disney plus for free. Call them up and see if you can get it as well. |
there's legit ones? I have 1000 channels, all the movie channels are free, sports out of my yin yang(like 5 golf related channels alone), however, it's greyer than grey. *whistleemoji |

It will cost me an extra $90.00 to get Disney Plus. Not worth it. |
So I'm through my first two winter season hydro bills since installing the heat pump. My electricity consumption is $338 more than this time last year (and that's not including the $100 energy rebate BC hydro handed out) By this time last year I would have went through a tank of oil, ~$850. So $500 less than last year. What makes it even more amazing, is with my oil furnace I was so cheap that we kept the stat at 16C unoccupied/overnight and 18C home/awake. With the HP, we keep it at 18C unoccupied/overnight and 21C home/awake. Plus, the winter electrical bill is also heavily impacted and skewed by the 5kw heater I have in my detached garage, which is uninsulated, and I feel like we've had a colder winter this year than last which has probably disproportionately driven up the bill. All in all, pretty amazing upgrade. |
I have such an addictive personality. Thank god no drugs or alcohol. I’m hooked on this game called Royal Match. On level 1013, atm. When I started out, the game was easy and fun. Then, the levels got exponentially more difficult. I started spending money on boosters and whatnot. After awhile it got stupid. The game was designed to get money from you. I stopped paying for boosters when I realized all levels can be solved without any boosters. The game then became a challenge. Level 1000……… omfg! I did after numerous attempts manage to defeat it. I’ve always been a gamer. Not so much anymore, but when the first three Mario games came out, I was one of the first to complete the game multiple times. Same with Zelda. Angry Birds. Remember that one? Finished that in no time flat. Anyway……… too much time on my hands. I should be spending my time doing something useful, like developing retro viruses or nanobots to take over this miserable planet, gulolol. Sleep is so overrated. |

There's enough interest in heat pump for it's own thread. I'm guessing you're rural with oil heater? How many sq feet are you heating for the $338, and being BC Hydro thats for 2 months? So avg $169 per month? I'm using natural gas. 2 high efficiency boilers in 2 buildings. About 4600sq foot living space, 3000 radiators/1600 in ground. Also 3000 sq ft insulated garage but only about 200sq ft radiant in the concrete. My Fortis gas was $369 for dec and $269 for Jan. I'm looking at heat pumps for when my boilers pack it in, or radiant pipes leak. |

LOL, I have stacks upon stacks of game consoles, cartridges, memory cards, etc. I don't throw anything away, so have all boxes and manuals. Can start a museum........... AppleIIe, Commodore (Vic20, 64), Atari, Nintendo (all versions of Game Boy), Playstation, you name it. I played more games than my three kids combined, lol. It's all on-line games nowadays, and I haven't kept up. Too fast action for old man.............. :okay: |
Yeah that’s why you use an emulator. So you can play these old games again without any heartache. Just search Reddit emulator ios and you’ll get links to delta and retroarch I’ve gotten the PlayStation emulator working too, so now im playing GranTurismo 2 and suikoden |
but, but, but........... those controllers........... cords never long enough. You get all into the game and pull a little too much and console ends up on the floor........... |
I just use a wireless Xbox controller. No wires, no mess |
I was just being.......... me. I have wireless controllers. |
wife got a no-name chinar off brand robot vacuum off amazon on sale for like $130. i have to admit, little bugger does a decent enough job. i'm sure the $500 ones do better but at this price i'm glad i don't have to regularly vacuum :lol |

mine only gets stuck or dies under the bed |
got stuck on a blanket and a spaghetti mess of cables on the floor which i'll say is my fault, other than that not too bad. i did close the bedroom doors for some that i think may get stuck so i imagine i have to work with it to ensure it's success :lol your house must be baller if it's so large that it runs out of battery doing the bedroom LOL :nyan: |
We have two Shark robots. They were great up until recently we just stopped using them because we just have too much junk around and hindering it's duties. Probably start using them again once I'm no longer sleeping on the floor and also clean up the kid's play area. |
No robot vac is ever going to be useful in my house. It's like scenes from "The Last of US," gulolol. My extensive stamp collection, electronics (stereo equipment, lots of air purifiers, portable A/C, etc.), small scale modelling kits, supplies, etc. Everything is in tubs, stacked, labeled, and on rollers, so its really easy to move and vac with either my Miele, built in vac, or Dyson. I'm allergic to dust, pollen, and hairy things, like cats and dogs. No pets and wear masks when near pollen spewing flowers like Lillies in the garden. Besides, robot vacs made in chinar have cameras built in to spy on you, gulolololololol...... |
So hoarding |
lol that's the first thing I thought of are reading that post, just a mental image of the show Hoarders. |
Old Chinese people are notorious for hoarding. Especially old Cantonese people. Not sure why it’s more prevalent the further south you go, but it’s weird like that. |
