No, just a huge collection from when I was like 9 or 10. Coin collection as well. I just purchased a one of a kind "OX-4" Dead Letter Office stamp with inscription selvage intact. Mathematically centred, and pristine gum. Dealer has never seen such a perfect stamp. I happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I have a collection that includes uncut press sheets and proofs, as well as stamp with coin sets that are rather large in size. I have complete hockey theme sets, including signed items from everyone from Bill Ranford (who's he?) to Gretzky, Lemieaux, and Crosby. No Messier........... I don't care if it's the only one of its kind on the planet, I hate that bastard that much. Christmas stamps? I have every issue since 1898 (World's first Xmas stamp). In every configuration from singles, to blocks and plate sets in all perf variations and shades (colour of ocean). Canada Releases World's First Christmas Stamp - 1898 Christmas Stamp - 1898

Anyway, not hoarding.............. one hoards, toilet paper and paper towels, not expensive stamps.

Just clearing that up...........

god bless

Finally got Crave TV. 6 month free trial. Only problem I have is with Shaw. I have Blue Curve Gig service. Cannot get Crave unless I got subscription through them. Bastards! Their tech people are like, "Sorry, you're out of luck." I tried everything. Then, I remembered I got me a 4K Apple TV+ console. Used it a handful of times to watch Friday Night Baseball games (Blue Jays). It was so cumbersome (remote sucks monkey balls). Anyway, it works like a charm. I have my media capable receiver connected to the television via ARC HDMI. It's pretty seamless, except for that freaking remote control/ I can control it via iPhone or MacBook Pro, but man.....................

Anyone have any recommendation for a really good Italian meatball sub ? I used to go to this place on Hastings and boundary. Close to that Irish pub. But they’ve closed down a few years ago and I can’t find a really good Italian meatball sub.

If you're in the hood visiting your folks, try La Grotta del Formaggio on Commercial. I remember growing up in the neighbourhood they don't serve it on a daily basis (I think Sunday's only?) so best to call them directly to inquire.

Someone will say Meat & Bread but I personally am not a fan myself. Good luck!

Edit: Check out Jo's Italian Deli on Alma. Never tried myself but my brother mentioned this to me last year.

Bosa on Victoria Street? 562 Victoria Dr
Their sandwiches are out of this world and pretty inexpensive. I don't know if they have meatball subs but I saw their meatballs in the deli. The bread they use is amazing.

I'm in Saanich, back in the 50's my area would have been considered "rural", now it's just suburb (although I'm not far from the "urban containment" border which transitions to "rural saanich")

I think the gas infrastructure in Victoria just developed a lot slower/later than Vancouver, and as a result there's a lot of oil heating still around in the city (a lot of wood burning too). Like, the supply runs up my street, but I've never been hooked up (neither are a lot of other houses on the street), nor will I ever bother at this point.

So, little, older house, ~1800sqft with basement, not great insulation. That's $338 for all of Nov through end of Feb (4 months). $85/month.

I tried bosa before. It’s alright but it wasn’t as good as the place I used to go.
Their chicken parm is way better along with their regular sandwiches (as you said, due to their fantastic bread).

La Grotta did a renovation recently and the meatball subs are now available all the time. Delicious sandwiches but prices have gone up a fair bit: https://www.lagrottadelformaggio.com/panini-menu/

Meat and Bread has one of my favorite meatball subs.

You can't beat a good spicy meatball.

Hondaracer 03-07-2023 01:59 PM

68style 03-07-2023 02:16 PM

I have a feeling I’ve asked this before but a search yielded nothing

Does anyone know what these things are on the side of the HWY mostly between Vancouver and Coquitlam, they look like yellow or orange paint bucket lids, like the 5 gallon Home Depot bucket lids.

They’ve gotta be somthing not just trash because every 3-4 months they are placed on the shoulder of the highway sporadically. The last couple times they have been yellow but now I’ve seen a couple orange ones near Cassiar and HWY on-ramp..

whitev70r 03-10-2023 03:21 PM

are they there for if you can't stop and you need to crash into something ... kinda like a pillow landing?

inv4zn 03-10-2023 04:29 PM

MG1 03-10-2023 04:54 PM
