Nah that’s too much work. The only cults I like start with sex in front of them. This is very interesting |
Not for two nanoseconds did I think you were serious. Gulolol. |
I had an invite to become an Odd Fellow, which is kind of like cousins to Freemasons as far as Fraternal organizations go. A bunch of guys from my wife's former workplace are members. That kind of thing is not really for me, but I could tell that business networking does definitely happen through those places. And they have a really nice hall in downtown Victoria with a beautiful billiards room (A few of her Christmas were at that hall). Would have been neat to have access to that. |

You could always be invited to be a Shriner................ then you could drive around in them mini cars. Shriners are a branch of the Freemasons. |

Funny that the top ranking members of Freemasons are called "masters".................... Addendum. Honestly, we humans have a need to belong. Look at Biker Gangs, boys who never grew up is basically what that scene is about. Still the need to scratch an itch is accomplished. Even Revscene............ Fraternity............ oh, oh, ohhhhhhhh..... sorority............ nuff said. Why did I have to bring that up? |
These organizations run on various levels. Most members don't see what happens at the top levels. Opening the organization up to non-whites, people of all types is a way to keep their secrets, well, safe. The organization is based on good things (on the outside) and they're doing a great job of changing their somewhat negative image. Every organization, whether it be secular or non-secular, is based on control. If you become a member of these organizations, you feel so special, since not everybody can become a member. For most of these groups, if you have a criminal record, you might as well kiss becoming a member goodbye. If you have questionable moral and ethical, you might as well do same. These organizations do a lot of charity work. Networking? Yeah, you know it happens no matter what - brotherhood. Like a union. In fact, a union is so much like................ I'm spending more time on this subject than I need to. All I want is that cool logo on the rear of my cars, gulolol. |
Sex cult only plz !!! |
Blue Oyster Bar, for you.................. Spoiler! |
The only Freemason I ever knew was a former meth addict, got in through his wife. He acted like the internet didn’t exist lol.. you think organizations like this could possibly keep anything “secret” there’s nothing special about these groups it’s just a boys club who think they are something special lol Saying the people at bottom don’t see what happens at the top is like saying the labourer on a construction site doesn’t see what Daddy Bosa is doing in his 20 million dollar home, of course he doesn’t. It’s like finding a realtor or a mortgage broker who thinks their special because their part of the Vancouver club :lawl: |

So, so sad............... My two sons and I go there every weekend. We look forward to it. It's like a tradition. https://bc.ctvnews.ca/beloved-restau...ades-1.6314158 My son told me they got broken into not that long ago. The place is a gem. Fast. By the time I drop off my sons and sometimes my daughter to look for an open parking spot, they're back with bags of food. |

My dad worked there for 20+ years. If you ever ate there after 5PM Tuesday to Sunday, you've probably seen or met my dad. It's probably your last stereotypical greasy/dirty HK style diner in all of Vancouver. Sticky floors, interior from the 1980s, picnic table covers, open noodle kitchen, rude waitresses.. you get the idea. That food raised me and my two brothers, and while this could be the nostalgia hitting me, I've yet to have a better wonton noodle soup. My mom spoke to the owner recently and they said they're thinking of closing down the restaurant, so visit the restaurant if you're in the area and this type of food/vibe is up your alley. I personally want to revisit the restaurant myself for a meal, but it's a little difficult since my dad passed away recently in 2021 and I'm sure the feels are gonna hit me hard. BTW, my dad made that sign in front of the noodle kitchen. He used to make a new one every couple of years when the prices changed, but it's probably at least a decade old now since he retired in 2015 - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FSDBRe8VgAAHVAw?format=jpg |

^I've always driven by it but never thought of going in. I'll have to hit it up sometime and see what it's about. Thanks for sharing your story! |
I used to go there (On Lok) all the time. After bowling with the team, gathering with friends, even meets with RS members. I knew the owners (brothers) through a good friend of my wife. For some reason, I stopped going there on a regular basis. If the place was full, which it was back then, we'd go to Penny's. On Lok was one of Mike McCardell's favourite places to eat Chinese, btw. One of the best places for wonton............ on par with Danny's in Richmond. |
