Went to a friend's house, put the top down for the drive.
Got to my friend's house, put the top back on, notice trunk is covered in water, turns out / guessing I crushed a rekorderlig can when I put the top down.
Driving home on the way back, roadblock:
"Any open alcohol in the car?"
"Yes the trunk is alcohol."
Cop: .......
Me: ...…...
Cop: ......
"Pull over to the side please"
At least the trunk smells nice now

A stat holiday is supposed to be considered a standard working day when not worked. If saturday would normally be OT for you, then it still should be OT even with a stat in the mix.
On a reg mon-fri 40 hr work week. Where you get 1.5x rate over 40hrs.
If the week has a stat holiday, does that contribute to your 40hr or no?
like Stat Holiday+8+8+8+8 + weekend (8 hr) = 48 hrs.
Is that paid out as 40 hrs @ 1.0x + 8hr @1.5x
or
Stat pay+32+8 = 48 @ 1.0x (where literally, only 40 hrs are worked, so technically no OT was done)
I've always paid it out like this
32hr Regular 1.0
8hr Stat Regular 1.0 <-- BC and Ontario mandatory pay but based off experience half the employers don't pay this but also due to employee not knowing. Back in 2017, I got back paid 9 days for this. B.C. it's for hourly employee need to work 15 of last 30 days, Ontario you just need to make sure you worked the first and last shift.
8hr OT @ 1.5x <-- employers may try to screw you on whether is OT or not.
Looking at buying a car, it's 2015, but has never been registered. Owned by the owner of a large dealership.
Punched in the Carfax vin, and it shows "no registration records found", no nothing.
Anyone who works at a dealer, care to chime in? I guess I would be the "first owner" and the the first record would be once I bring it in for an oil change or such
I think it's fine, just never had this situation before.
Only red flag might be for a buyer if I sell it, and they also punch in the Carfax, and see it's first record in 2023....

A family spokesperson says Jerry was battling a "brief illness." Our sources tell us it was pancreatic cancer that was diagnosed a few months ago, and this week he took a turn for the worse.
For those of you who are old enough to know Mr. Springer, Jerry Springer had one of the most popular TV talk shows during the 90s.
Wild and raucous TV show where Jerry invited guests with dubious backgrounds to his show to talk about their stories.
It was basically a tabloid talk show that at times had higher ratings than Oprah in some American cities.
The Jerry Springer Show ran from 1991 to 2018 and saw guests discuss their explosive personal lives, with controversial topics covered such as as incest and adultery, with swearing, nudity and fights in the studio on occasion.
After more than 4,000 episodes, the show ended in 2018, never straying from its core salaciousness: Some of its last episodes had such titles as "Stripper Sex Turned Me Straight," "Stop Pimpin' My Twin Sister," and "Hooking Up With My Therapist."
I remember the audience members cheering him on with chants of "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!!"
The show was pretty much about dysfunctional people sharing their personal stories on Jerry's show.
how does OT work with sick pay?
now that we have to pay 5 sick days per year, we had 3 guys sick this week with covid.
i want to ask them to work this saturday, none of them have worked 40 hours this week, but they will still be compensated for 40 hours due to sick pay. is saturday considered OT since it goes over 40 hours? or is sick pay excluded from that calculation.

I found this link on the BC government web site about the 5 days sick leave:
I do not think that those workers would get OT pay on Saturday because technically, they did not work the 40 hours this week in order to trigger an overtime pay rate. They reported to you as sick with Covid. Sick pay should be excluded from that calculation.
The quickest way to get an answer to your question is to call BC Employment Standards at 1 833 236 3700. They open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5pm.
It's not abnormal for new old stock to be sold much later (hence my curiosity) but it's also a rare situation. New is new as far as paperwork goes?
Il.post a pic in the lastest pic of yo whip thread soon should be here in a few days
Yeah it's new on paperwork, but has very low kms, in reality I'm the second owner
Story cut short, I asked the dealership to include a letter stating the car was a dealer vehicle or such, and I can show this to the new buyer if need be.
I will be getting a nvis form, since it's a "new" car.
Only took me 10 years of saving to get to this point, I'm so amped for delivery, gonna bleeeeed the bank account on gas this summer

I would put my money on the reason why it was never registered was because the owner just ran dealer plates the entire time (which I'm sure was not often) when he drove it.
If it's something owned by a dealer principal it's likely something rare and special...
Is it something like a manual R8?
It's manual alright..... I wouldn't call it rare or special tho
I wanted a 95-01 nsx, but after being outbid twice on BAT by a few thousand, and no local stock, i folded and took a car that's half the price instead.
Nsx is gonna have to wait another 10 years
Murd0c: you are correct, he ran dealer plates for all it's life
