Didn't realize it was SWD until I saw a woman on the streetcar decked out in everything SW related.

I can think of one example of an Asian driver who drive an American car.

My personal trainer that I trained with for five months was a big Korean guy.
Big Sean. Other trainers called him Sparky. LUL

6 foot 1, 236 pounds. A bodybuilder beast with tattoos over his neck and most of his upper body. He drove a newer model Mustang.

Then he traded in the Mustang for an F-150 because the Mustang was getting too small for him. LUL

Not all Asians are small. This trainer was a badass for sure. -crazy hard workouts with this guy.

I was eating right next to their table when this happened.
Luckily, the lady noticed right away and chased after them.
He got scared and ditched the bag outside the parking lot.

Dumbest part was, dude came back to restaurant to ask the servers for his jacket, he accidently dropped with stolen purse.

what a dumb fuck, 100% first timer.

Which white dot were you?

StylinRed 05-04-2023 02:01 PM

That was the most awkward bag theft attempt... Did they just do it spur of the moment? Probably overheard convo of there being money or something in the bag and figured they would give it a shot :lol

Before covid hit I saw a rise in Asians driving American muscle (lot of mustangs camaros challengers even) but since covid Teslas took over

One person has been taken to the hospital after the car they were driving hit a house in Vancouver’s Langara neighbourhood Thursday.

West 49th Avenue between Ontario and Columbia streets is shut down as crews tend to the situation.

An image shared by Vancouver police shows the vehicle completely upside down against the home. It’s unclear what exactly caused the car to leave the roadway and hit the home.

While buses are getting through on 49th Avenue, police are asking drivers to avoid the area.

It’s unclear how seriously hurt the driver was.
On a Thursday afternoon? Yeesh

I'm ashamed that I can't figure out what kind of car that is

Liquid_o2 05-04-2023 03:09 PM

I think it is a Mazda 3 based on the tail lights...

68style 05-04-2023 03:12 PM

Camry

Razor Ramon HG 05-04-2023 03:18 PM

It's a Toyota for sure.

EDIT: 68style is probably right. I think it's a last generation Camry.

Did you try turning your phone upside down? :fullofwin:

Badhobz 05-04-2023 05:47 PM

Man those Toyotas are built pretty solid. Surprise you can walk away from that

SSM_DC5 05-04-2023 08:11 PM

Time for everyone to sell their crossclimate2.... It didn't work well at all for that Camry.

Modern car pillars are some of the toughest areas in the vehicle specifically for events like this - it's to protect the passenger safety cell during rollovers.

They're a bitch and a half to cut through with the hydraulic cutters.

StylinRed 05-05-2023 11:27 AM

Turns out that car was flipping/rolling past four houses before landing there wtf

Also there's a wildfire in Banff that caused evacuations etc and it turns out it was started by a "Women in Fire" training exercise!

Women firefighters from around the world were holding a conference in Banff and held a training exercise that's now out of control, the jokes write themselves

It's all over tiktok now, but here's a more pc take on it where they buried the details :lol

How a fire went from ‘prescribed burn’ to out of control in an instant near Banff
Some residents were evacuated and horses had to be quickly relocated as winds changed direction and pushed the fire out of the control area

A number of the firefighters working on the prescribed burn Wednesday were part of the Women-in-Fire Training Exchange program currently taking place in Banff. Park said WTREX is a training program for experienced firefighters from across the globe and called the team working the blaze the “cream of the crop.”

Langley Costco... WTF

This was my first and last time at Langley Costco. I thought Burnaby Costco was bad. Langley Costco has to be the craziest Costco I have ever been to. The parking lot was INSANE.

Not sure if it's because of the gas station there, but wtf that was a gongshow. The inside of the costco seemed smaller and the food area is in a horrible position for guests checking out.

WTF. Never again.

Hondaracer 05-05-2023 01:50 PM

I’ve at least gone into Langley a few times

The Richmond one I’ve driven by with intention to go inside and then just drove away lol

Richmond one is so fucking bad on the weekends. It always causes a traffic jam on Bridgeport during peak afternoon hours.
