This was my first and last time at Langley Costco. I thought Burnaby Costco was bad. Langley Costco has to be the craziest Costco I have ever been to. The parking lot was INSANE.

Not sure if it's because of the gas station there, but wtf that was a gongshow. The inside of the costco seemed smaller and the food area is in a horrible position for guests checking out.

WTF. Never again.

Yes, avoid the entrance near the gas station at all costs. Otherwise it’s fine.

I actually drive an extra ~10 mins each way to go to Langley in order to avoid Newton lol

Great68 05-05-2023 03:06 PM

We only have the one Costco for all of greater Victoria, and it's not bad. Thursday nights after dinner is the ideal time to go.

parking lot is a lot smaller compare to other Costco locations.
it's only going to get worse every year, with amount of new houses being built in Langley, this location better have plan to accommodate exploding Langley population...

I never realized about the food area until you mentioned it...
yea the food area is right between cashiers and exist.
after people check out they have to pass through line up of people waiting for hotdogs lol

How much cheaper is the Costco gas anyways?

I've only ever gassed up in the one in Bellingham, so not a good comparison, lol.

Great68 05-05-2023 04:39 PM

Not really all that much, on average only a couple cents but I think it's a lot more stable than regular gas stations.

Not worth going out of your way just to fill up. Worth it if you're already shopping there or in the neighbourhood.

Their propane is a massive deal though compared to normal stations.

TOS'd 05-05-2023 04:58 PM

Thats like the Scarborough Costco here, total clusterfuck. Avoid at all cost.

On another note, I was walking around downtown TO on my lunch break and I saw what looked like a white camo (like the camo for hiding/testing new cars) CUV/SUV looking thing, it had similar rear tail lights like a 458 Ferrari where the housing sticks out of the body. I got stuck at a red light and it zoomed off/had too much traffic blocking me from taking a picture of it. Any ideas what it could be?

The one in PoCo is always a minimum of 3c cheaper than surrounding stations and yes, propane is way cheaper

All Costcos seem ridiculous, I don't even go anymore, noped out of the lot the last couple times I've tried

radeonboy 05-05-2023 09:32 PM

Come on Costco isn't so bad if you go in 1/2 hour before they close on a weekday.

StylinRed 05-05-2023 09:37 PM

lol but the roast chicken is soldout by then

You should post in the Computer building thread but both Intel and AMD are great these days. Whats your budget?

Check out this.

If you buy skates online, where do you go to get them baked? How much should that service cost?

punkwax 05-06-2023 01:39 PM

Do it at home.
