Well.. They're still getting people like you to watch it.. haha
I know guys who still go to the theater religiously to watch Fast and Furious. It's a legacy tradition thing now.

They all say the movie is so trash, but it's just what they do. I bet you there are tons of guys groups that do that.

That and any excuse to hang out with the boys every so often.

The franchise keeps making money, so Fast 11 is already in development, and they're considering #12...

Me and the wifey went to river rock buffet tonight. The prime rib is damn good. Like I would say it’s comparable to the keg in terms of taste and tenderness. It’s amazing !!! Such value too at 50 bucks a pop.

No lineup tonight. I guess the economy is bad.

That's how I went into the series up until the 7th one or so.. After that it was no longer theatre worthy, and now it's not even worth wasting time watching at all. I tried with FF9 on Netflix, lasted 10 minutes. While I was laughing uproariously, it wasn't really in an enjoyable way.

Put your eyeballs where your mouth is! If it's shit, stop watching! Studios will be forced to start making good movies again!

I was joking with my cousins that at some point they'll have Dom's clone fighting dinosaurs lol

Spoiler!

Spoiler!

100% chance Dom's clone would slide down the back of a dinosaur into a waiting car like Fred Flintstone.

I've been expecting them to AI Brian O'connor back maybe in the next few films

Anyone smart enough to tell me where I can tap into to get a c wire that I can use for smart thermostats?

My control board looks like the one in this link.
https://www.furnacepartsdiy.com/parts/446-000

I also have a transformer attached to a JB which is attached to the top of my boiler. The 2 screws on the top R&C don't have any wires going to it though.

Hondaracer 05-20-2023 02:27 PM

Are you using a nest?

If you plug a wire into one of the other control ones and it’s not correct nest actually tells you where that wire should go

Based by page 30, this controller operates off an aquastat, in other words, dry contact.

There is no "24v supply" to a thermostat, if you wanted to, you could splice into R-C (top right 4 pin, top two would be R-C 24V.)
If you have a multimeter, test it before you cook your new thermostat.

You could run power as noted above, and then run the thermostat contact off the S9361A board (if you have one) "optional aquastat pins 6 and 4"

Depending what you are trying to do of course.....

Yes Nest. There's too many possible places I can add a wire on the boiler side. It'll be more efficient and safer if I just learn what I'm looking at rather than trial and error.

I fished new 18/7 thermostat wire to my thermostats, and now I want to make use of a C wire to use in a Nest thermostat so I don't need to try and do the other various tricks I see on YouTube to get around having a proper C wire. My board looks more like the one in my link and doesn't have that S9361A like in the PDF if your link. Looks like I do have the R-C you mentioned.

Here's some pics of my actual boiler

Am I looking at this right when I say that this 24V transformer is doing nothing? 120V comes into the JB, feeds the transformer, then goes back out.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...ea0d32b0_c.jpg

The wires coming out of the JB leads somewhere to the left where it's labelled P1, P2, L1, L2 but I didn't look carefully to see exactly where it terminates.

Right now there's a Black wire that goes to the R and White and Green that goes to the C. These wires go towards a valve in the exhaust vent. Side note: The black, white, orange, and red wires at the bottom. Perhaps wiring for 1 zone?? well these wires lead to 5 zone control valves. I'm starting to wonder if this thing is even wired the way the manufacturer intended.

donk. 05-21-2023 02:46 AM

Looks like you have one control for 5 zones, then the thermostats most likely make/break contact

I would just splice into black + wht/grn for your nest power

Yeah your trans looks like it's not in use

On older equipment, it's rare that things match up from OEM, if it works, it works. Hvac guys will chop up whatever needed to make the system as requested by the homeowner

SSM_DC5 05-21-2023 06:24 AM

If that trans is free to use, is that an option to power the nest instead of splicing? If so, I'd just hook up 2 wires on the exposed R and C screws, then run that to the R of the thermostat that's already in use and C is a new blue wire that I take from the 18/7 that I fished?

donk. 05-21-2023 08:19 AM

Not advised to mix transformers unless

Impedance must be the same
Voltage primary/secondary are the same
Polarity is the same

I personally avoid it all together

SSM_DC5 05-21-2023 08:45 AM

Ok so I find the R from thermostat and splice into the black wire, then I take all the blue from the thermostat and pig tail then splice it to the white green?

202X A.D., a future beyond Initial D.

Self-driving cars are in widespread use in Japan, and public roadways are used for auto racing.

In such an era, a race called MFG has become popular around the globe.

Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini...

Participants are invited to race with their fastest cars.

One such participant, a British racing school graduate, Kanata Rivington, returns to Japan to achieve his goal.

Any recommendations for a local shop that can swap out a MBP 2016 battery?

Apple store price is actually pretty reasonable compared to 3rd party batteries. Considering review on 3rd party batteries (many complain about less capacity or working well for a while then stopping), I would go OEM here

SkinnyPupp 05-23-2023 04:40 PM

Seconded - an actual good quality battery isn't going to be much cheaper than OEM, if at all

Has anyone bought or used TCL brand tv? Seems like budget bang for buck chinese brand tv, read reviews online and seems to be quite mixed. I'm only considering this because I am looking for a tv for my rental place. Was debating for a Samsung that's $130 bucks more, but its for a rental. Although I don't want something that breaks down like 2 months down the road LOL.

Gerbs 05-23-2023 08:52 PM

I got the TCL Costco 5 or 6 series for like $429 OpenBox 65" back during Covid peak.

Insane value.

bcrdukes 05-23-2023 08:54 PM

My neighbour at the previous condo had one. Seemed okay for well over 2 years he lived next door to us. But like every consumer electronic that exists, Samsung included, has risks of failure.
