It's funny if you met Honda, that story really wouldn't fit his MO.

I thought exactly this after I woke up because I do not recognize or know the person that was representing you LOL

But perhaps it's someone I have seen in passing? I think they have to be people you've at least seen before? Not sure how it works hahaha

I think you may have blended me and Honda together, because I've never seen anyone on here talk about donairs as much as I have.

i'll know hondaracer in the wild if i see someone peeing 3' away from the urinal

EvoFire 06-07-2023 01:02 PM

I've had people in my dreams that I don't know. The explanation that they are people you've met in passing was also my explanation. Otherwise my brain just composited a random person out of thin air.

Nothing will ever change my mind about the colour(s) of your M3.

What's your take on Halifax donairs?

I had it for the first time a few weeks back on vacation out in the Maritimes. I did not expect/realize the sauce to be sweet and thought something went bad with my donair or they put the wrong sauce on it lol.

I personally love it. Every time I go to donair dude I ask for the sweet sauce. Maybe that’s why I’m so ducking fat.

bcrdukes 06-07-2023 03:44 PM

I forget the name of the place westopher told me about for donairs in Edmonton, but man, it was :sweetjesus:

I may head to the Maritimes this fall so if Halifax is a destination, will have to try it out.

I think part of the shock was that I was not expecting it to be sweet. I mean, who would have thought condensed milk and roast lamb goes well together. The next time I had it I got the sauce on the side just so I could control the level of sauce. A bit of sweetness was good with the lamb, just not slathered in the sauce.

I just got back from a 2 week trip in Nova Scotia, New Foundland, and PEI, gimme a shout if you need any advice.

That said, I felt Halifax as a town not very appealing. Did find an amazing old school pub, but the neighborhoods are all pretty spread out and doesn't have a lot of charm,

Charlottetown was far more charming and quaint. Fantastic food since the Culinary Institute of Canada is there.

sonick 06-07-2023 03:56 PM

That said, reminds me that I had been meaning to share photos of my trip as the Lighthouse Route and the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia were the best driving roads and experiences I have ever encountered.

Highly recommend any driving enthusiast to visit once in their lifetime.

Halifax donairs are life, love, and happiness rolled into a pita.
High voltage in edmonton is the best Halifax donair in existence, although not totally traditional. Kind of a Gyro/Halifax donair hybrid.

Fuck what a shitty time to make that joke. On page 666 of all things. I take it back!

FailFish me

Not sure if this made international news, but for those who aren't aware, this crazy guy randomly stabbed two women at a mall right after I made that shitty joke. Both died. And then tonight it looks like it happened again, although no details are out yet since it just happened hours ago. My wife went by on her commute and the MTR exit was a crime scene.

I know it's just coincidence, but it feels shitty. And weird to happen twice in a short time.. maybe all the strict covid restrictions drove crazy people even more crazy...

westopher 06-08-2023 05:26 AM

4 children and 2 adults stabbed in France today as well. Youngest victim was 3. No deaths so far. Can't wait for the American gun fuckers to use it as an argument against any gun laws.

A mom killed her 3 young daughters the other day too.. It was crazy to follow the news as it was breaking, as she told the police her husband attacked them with a knife, so there was a manhunt. But they eventually figured out that she did it and made a false accusation. Apparently she has a history of mental health issues, and just snapped somehow.

I saw this - uncensored video on Instagram. Straight up watched someone die. It was fucked up. I don't know what's worse. That video of an American shooting up his shithead neighbors and hearing/watching them die or this.

And Right Wing America wasted no time in blaming the incident on Syrian refugees. FailFish

(warning on the video -- you see the name stabbing, though nothing to the extent of the HK stabbing death of 2 women)
