Food-wise, I don't think #9 is all that bad. It is certainly not great, but it is definitely passable. What irks me is the ridiculous price for the quality of food that they're charging. If you are charging me $5 for a $5 bowl of noodles, I'd really be OK with that. If you're charging me $3 for a $5 bowl of noodles, I'd call it a good place. But to charge me $10 for a $5 bowl of noodles? Come on, man. At that point, it becomes a ripoff.
when subway is on average 14-16 bucks for a footlong, everythings gone up quite a bit.
I havent been in no 9 for years as i dont club / party / stay out late anymore. But it used to be great at 3am when nothing else was open and you wanted a snack.

I paid just under $11 for a 6" Turkey sub last time I was there. The lady behind the counter noticed me look back at the menu when I was paying and I didn't say a word but she's like, yeah everything went up. I know it's just subway and shit has gone up all over and I never went there often but I legit won't go back, like ever.

With subway I order and pay online to skip the interaction, plus they have online/mobile coupons which I like to use for their rice bowls. The bowls are pretty sizable for under $10 with coupons and I like them way more than their buns.

Nah we got some. My favourite is the Thailand stuff called mama instant noodles. The pork flavor is excellent. Too bad the packages are tiny and you need 2 packages per person
Ports reached a tentative deal? Time to start playing master and commander with those ships hobz!!! Grocery stores are getting sparse in the Coke sections!
Tesla owners are super upset that their delivery dates are getting pushed too... and nobody gets more bent out of shape about not feeling as special as they think they should than those people!
the subway on scott road in surrey still has 3 footlongs for $18 on sat/sun.
probably only like ham or something, but i'm still surprised they can still keep that deal up after all these years.

A Quebec trucking company has been ordered to reinstate a driver who was fired after she drank at least nine beers before she lost control of her truck on a Pennsylvania highway.
The driver's actions amounted to serious misconduct, but her drinking was the result of a disability — alcoholism — and trucking company Groupe Robert should have made a reasonable accommodation for her, labour arbitrator Huguette April said in a written decision on July 18.

Yeah that's fucked up - although if you read the article it's the union doing union things despite its own policies, and a brain-dead arbitrator. The company is appealing, as it should.
This has been true for a long long long time... I took HR classes like 15 years ago that had case studies on the labour law side of things where a company up north in BC got sued (successfully!) for firing someone that showed up to work drunk every day operating a boat that took tourists out on the water because they didn't make any attempt to get the employee assistance.
It's nothing new... employing people fuckin sucks and is super risky.
