The ways the industry has changed I don't think you can really compare people who were sensations in different eras. Not that long ago it was hear an artist every so often on the radio or TV, if you like them buy a CD or some merch if a store near you is selling it. Go to a show if they happen to be nearby. It needed to be made available to you, you needed to have the money to spend on it and you'd only buy each thing they put out once. Now anyone in the world who has an internet connection can be advertised to and listen to anything they want and endlessly send the artist listens/ad revenue 24/7, at no cost to themselves.

I think a lot of those things make it even harder to achieve the status she has because no one is really force fed content like they used to be

I kinda like the way it looks - I wouldn't call it attractive but I also don't think it looks like Sarah Jessica Parker. I think it looks nice in blue or green.

I was dropping off my rental Ioniq5 this morning at Boundary Hyundai and they were unloading a couple new ones from the hauler and they seemed to have some selection of them in the lot.

I'm guessing it's harder for someone new to achieve it, but maybe not for the person already achieving it. Before what you were exposed to was limited but there was always at least a bit of a mix there. Nowadays it's pretty easy to get the algorithms serving up very little variety.

There were still flats and flats of Coke and Coke Zero at Costco when I went yesterday.

I thought with aspartame being labeled as a possible carcinogen people would stop drink diet coke. I hate the taste of aspartame anyways.

Nothing in this world, and I mean nothing, is good for you, except maybe Flip's Sausages...........and kkthind's tandoori chicken. Only because of the company and the location (Squint Lake). Fellas, I still have the Revscene Holy Grill.

I'll survive. I survived Covid, till now, and I'll survive this Diet Coke drought. I can try PC Diet Cola or even Western Family, if need be. Hell, I might even pick up a fridge pack of US Diet Coke from Fred Meyer. But no Diet Pepsi. It could be that McDonald's Diet Coke in the US just sucks. Cans might be okay. Still soda prices are high in the US with exchange rate and all. Oh, I get Diet Coke at the laundromat in Lummi and it's palatable.

I might have to resort to drinking water..............................

Pop made with cane sugar is the way to go, if you can find it. It tastes so much better than HFCS or aspartame.

some people are totally addicted to aspartame. i was in the states for work once and one of the tech guys, super smart dude, very neatly dressed, military style clean haircut, athletic slim build, stands up straight, etc etc... had like 2 flats of diet coke under his desk and i would see him drinking at least 2 a day (prob drinks way more). gross habit, probably has shit teeth by now from all the acid wear.

Went to Bellingham Costco a few months ago and they sell flats of the mexican coke.
