Spoiler! If you think posting pictures on Facebook is bad. You should see YouTube family channels. Some of these channels make big money. I think a few lawsuits have already happened but a lot more will come. https://techcrunch.com/2022/04/12/fa...-youtube-laws/ |
Totally with ^^ and against the plastering of your kids pictures and faces on SM as parents. I mean, just stop and think for a minute about it - security, personal info, damage to your kids later in life. Setting it on private doesn't help because you don't know what the 300+ followers will do with your kid's pictures. Just TMI. |
Hyde from that 70's show gets 30 years for rape. The women he raped were a part of the Church of Scientology. He and the redhead from the show are also members. The Church tried to cover it up for years. https://apnews.com/article/danny-mas...e582d4c7053eb6 Quote:

Battery on my MacBook Pro is dead. Won't hold a charge. Today is a planned power outage. I go to use laptop. Everything is fine. Five minutes in, the laptop shuts down. I knew I had a dying battery. As long as it's plugged in, it works like a charm. It's one of those models where a simple replacement of battery is not possible. Internet is down, but I have Freedom Mobile 40GB 5 G plan. Set up hot spot and I'm good to go. I plugged the laptop into one of these. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/mil...E&gclsrc=aw.ds I wouldn't be posting otherwise. Gotta love this stuff. If I run out of battery, I've got six other M18's, not including the ones that are attached to the 10 other Milwaukee tools and lanterns I have. |
Once in 20 year typhoon became once in 5 years, now we have once in 150 years rain which I guess will become a regular occurrence as well Fun times We're getting the worst of it in Sai Kung, but my roof is still draining sufficiently https://i.imgur.com/R0LepRo.png |

Holy Shit Batman ... makes our atmospheric rivers here in BC look like a sprinkle! |
I was watching a livestream earlier and it's crazy how fast conditions can change - there was water coming in from up the hill, falling from the sky, and spewing from the manhole like a geyser all at the same time. |
A lot of people in those old buildings are going to have water and sewage coming up their drains and toilets.. And not just the first floor either. That's my next fear after the roof, but I am at the top of a village house and we haven't had problems before aside from a very big clog that needed to be manually removed. Also I am by a hillside but it's pretty stable. Another slope in the village collapsed a few years ago after a big storm and was cemented over, replacing beautiful but dangerous green hillside with cement FeelsBadMan Busses aren't running so my wife can't get into work. People who made it in say the dogs are OK though. Streets are flooded but indoors are fine Edit: Finally seeing some footage this morning and holy shit what a disaster! This will take days to recover from |
^ doesn't matter what it's like outside, as long as there is power and internet, and you can watch NFL :lol. |

Peeing shrimps, clams, fish, lobsters in Sai Kung probably got a 2nd lease in life as they are all washed out to sea. https://www.hong-kong-traveller.com/...rant-tanks.jpg |

So for those that have been to the transfer station on Marine Drive, what is the experience like? Do you drive in, park your car, dump your trash into a random pile, then pay on the way out? |
If you have recyclable products, you drive to the right side after entering. If you have junk, you go to the left to the booth at the scales. You tell them what you have and they will direct you to the right area. You drive up to designated area and another person will direct you to the right pile. Just don't take weird stuff (like toxic waste, lol) and you'll be fine. Go on website and read what is accepted and what isn't. They weigh your vehicle on the way in. You dump your shit go to the exit scales where they weigh your vehicle again You pay on the way out. Pretty simple. Be cool and don't ask stupid questions that should have been answered on the website. You're talking about the Kent Transfer Station, yes? I haven't been there in nearly two years. So, things might have changed? I have no need to go there, really. Burnaby Eco Centre on Still Creek takes most recyclables and garden waste. On top of that, they take large appliances. If you live in Burnaby, the city will pick up large items like beds, couches, and furniture. Just call and it's gone in less than a week. I also go to the new Transfer Station in Coquitlam right next to the Eagle something golf range (next to Princess Auto). But, if you live in Vancouver, I guess the Kent Station is the closest. |
