I'm not a Beattles fan, but on a whim, I ordered the 50th Anniversary Edition Abbey Road Deluxe 4 disc (3 CD's and 1 Blue Ray with Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, and PCM Stereo capabilities) collection. The real gem is the 100 page hard cover booklet with tonnes of amazing images from the artists to the recording process. Studio shots and images of the artists with various instruments. Previously unreleased photos and music. The sound in Dolby Atmos is short of heaven. Again, not a Beattles fan, but the sound is incredible. Completely remastered from 8 track recording by some pretty well known engineers at Abbey Road Studios. A little too heavy on the bass and sounds I've never heard before on other masters..................
Arrived in two days flat via Prime. Came in bulletproof double box. It would even survive a Purolator delivery.
COT DAM!!
Addendum: After listening to all three modes, Dolby Atmos is by far the best, but even with the latest equipment, you are using source material that has degraded over time. Every time you play a tape, information deteriorates. That was one of the things Fleetwood Mac Rumours suffered from. Engineers on that remaster, had little to no choice but to use backups on some cuts. High frequencies like high hat and cymbals just sound like something coming out of a space ship exhaust pipe (can't think of anything else, atm).
Nothing beats a live performance, but when that's not possible.............................
Curious by your great review I had to click on the link... I'm honestly shocked they still make cassete's... I thought they stopped making those years ago lol
Has anyone been to pre-season NHL games in the past few seasons? I got a few free pre-season tickets to the Anaheim Ducks vs. San Jose Sharks while I'm in Los Angeles in a few weeks at the Honda Centre. Not sure what to expect for a game there and especially a pre-season game. Thanks in advance.
I haven't been to Honda Center, but typically pre-season games in Van can go either way - entertaining or boring because of the line up and how they shift players in and out. The vendors and food outlets also use the time to figure out issues so things may or may not go well lol.
In the end it's free hockey.

Honda Center is not a great venue, I did a road trip a few years back and followed the Canucks through San Jose/LA/Anaheim... Anaheim was the least interesting of the 3 by quite a bit. It's kind of the in the middle of nowhere too, you're parking in industrial parks and walking in if I remember correctly.
I remember one big thing that was lame af about it is there's only ONE entrance with metal detectors... so this massive line forms and you just slowly get into the stadium. I don't know if that has been rectified or not, but what a gongshow... and some dude was using a megaphone to tell us we were all going to hell and only Jesus can save us the entire time.
I did eat a giant chocolate chip cookie as big as my head though. Bonus points for that.

Cassettes are special. Being analog and the tactile satisfaction factor. Plus, Guardians of the Galaxy, hee hee. Really nice decks still exist. If demand is there, they'll keep makin' 'em.
I too thought they would die out. Might just have to dust off the ol' Nakamichi TD 1200 MKII.
A good friend of mine had a Nakamichi Dragon Tape deck with Bang & Olufsen system. If you could use sultry to describe a sound/system, that would be it.

Depending when in the preseason you are, you'll get more of the guys that haven't been sent down to the farm team yet plus a few vets early on. It can be scrappier than a reg NHL game, as guys trying to show they can make the team.
We went to 50 Cent last Thursday in Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena.
What a wicked venue, fucking love that place, location is great too.
The sound system was INSANE.
Fuck going to Rogers Arena for a concert or event, drive down, make a nice night out out in Seattle for it. Canucks games as well, if you go infrequently.
No it was really good, he put on a show, 1.5 hour set too with Busta Rhymes and Jeremih opening the show.
I'd say the people watching was the highlight of the night for us. MUCH different type of crowd at a 50 Cent concert in Seattle then that in Vancouver.
Lots of curves, lots of flashy outfits, diverse and interesting crowd. Good times.
We stayed at Level downtown, what a wicked spot. Apparently built by ONNI?

I used one three months ago. My go to, ICBC agent sent me the PDF. I printed it and taped the two pieces of paper exactly where they are supposed to go.

A fresh take on e-scooters that was inspired by the Honda Motocompo of the early '80s, the all-new Honda Motocompacto redefines affordable all-electric personal transportation with sleek and simple styling and an innovative, ultra-compact foldable design. Sales will begin exclusively at Motocompacto.honda.com, and at Honda and Acura automobile dealers in November with an MSRP of just $995.

Being road legal or not hasn't stopped too many people from riding their e-thing on the road.
Yes, still pissed that idiots still ride their e-scooters and take up one lane on Kingsway. Or those effin e-one wheelers in their helmets riding at like 70 kph at 45 degree lean on the road.

Got the stink eye from an older karen riding in the middle of the road with her e-bike. Yes you are faster than if you were on a regular pedal bike, but no you are still fucking slow and I would be faster on my mountain bike. Went around her and she gave me the look.

Mint oil keeps mice away, but not sure about rats.
Biggest thing is
Cleanliness and making sure there is no food around
Sealing any way they can get in
Shitloads of traps to kill them and send a message to those other fuckers

Agree on cleanliness, ensuring there is no food source, and sealing away cracks or openings that they may enter. And the thing with cracks / openings is, those damn buggers really don't need very much space to squeeze through at all. For the babies, something like a 1cm gap would be more than enough. As long as their head can squeeze through, the rest of the body can squeeze through too.
It'd also help if you provide as little cover for them as possible, since rodents don't like wide open space. If there is clutter in the garage, they'd want to hide there.
