I find the Cactus version is slightly sweet, where as the Earls version is less sweet, more salty/spice.

They're both good, the butter on the Cactus version is best, I prefer the Earls sides though.

Recipe if anyone is curious:

No offence to resident chef westo, but say what you want about cactus, they have the best tasting menu overall for a chain restaurant and are incredibly consistent across locations. I take clients out for meals fairly often and they always wanna go to cactus. It’s crazy when I’m doing expenses. I always try to support local, myself, but when you’re arranging meetings on the fly I swear 75% of the time whoever I’m talking to suggests cactus. I don’t think their hiring tactics hurt business..

Their lemongrass noodle salad is a nice herby dish for $23.75 and is my current go-to. I add a ramekin of serranos to kick it up a notch.

If someone knows a place with a better poké bowl, lemme know. Theirs is quite good.

$18.50 for the white boy prawn crunch roll though

I always just go to the keg. Value to meat ratio can’t be beat with a 48’dollsr big ass slab of prime rib

Not as fancy as cactus but the food is better. Fuck the clients.

I am not a fan of the Keg, myself. Worst sides ever.

I do agree their prime rib is good. That escargot though

I actually prefer the steak at Cactus. I usually order the Creole Steak and Prawns. Fuck, I love the creole butter.

I like their twice baked potato and their sautéed mushrooms pair nicely with prime rib.

Has anyone imported a car from Japan recently and know what the costs were on top of the purchase price? ie taxes, broker fees, shipping, etc.

I'm currently in highschool and about to start an apprenticeship program offered by my school, by the end I'll be able t9 get my level 1. I have a huge passion for cooking and I've loved working in my schools cafeteria for the time that I have been.

My concern Is if I'll actually be able to make a career out of this, the wages don't seem great and the hours seem long, as well, I've heard many terrible things about the industry too. I want to be able to make enough money to live comfortably and be able to save but I feel like that won't be possible with how little It seems I'll be making...

My siblings tried it.

They mentioned to me not to expect restaurant quality ramen. It's very basic and were disappointed as the hype set high expectations, so keep that in mind. It's ok to try once but their availability or opening hours is hit and miss.

Haven't tried but like many have seen it all over SM. People call me a foody but I hate that term I just simply like eating and trying stuff. Imo at least 80 - 90% of new hyped places end up being avg or bad so I almost never buy into it during the hype. I may try it a year or 2 from now if it's still around.

Yup, current as of 2 weeks ago.

$3400 landed.

Add 12% tax and 6.1% duty once here + OOP inspection fee + couple hundred for Canadian broker fee.

Does duty apply to all years?

Slightly off topic, but how would it work for a Canadian car that's made it's way to the US and brought back to Canada? Would that be tax, another hit on duty and all other fees, or just everything minus duty? Thanks in advance.
