Good! They should be held accountable for their actions, no matter how long ago.

Worst case scenario how about packing stretch wrap from U-Haul?

My parents bought new tires not too long ago, but decided to trade in their Corolla. It's already been appraised but now they realized the oems coming from the new car aren't going to be as good as the tires they have since they have all weather tires.

They were thinking of swapping in some random used tires now when they trade it in. Is this a "thing" or pretty much unethical and rarely done?

It's a 2013 Corolla and they said when they were getting the appraisal, the guy at the dealership just did a quick walk around and mostly focused more on the odometer and paper work for the car history.

I like how the guy in the video says he would never wear green while wearing a green shirt.

I've never heard of it being a thing but if it saves yall money and tires are the same size... why not? Doubt the dealer is giving them top dollar on that trade in.

SSM_DC5 10-15-2023 03:14 PM

Is it worth the cost of used tires and mount + balance x 2? And are your parents going to use up the oem tires before starting to use the current ones or start using the current ones right away because if the former, then the current ones will be x more years older.

Badhobz 10-16-2023 08:06 AM

the old tires you can just take off and sell on craigslist or marketplace for more or less what you paid for them (people are crazy)

then similarly you can buy a cheapie set and throw them on yourself, who cares if its balanced, as long as you can wobble it to the dealership

:troll:

sorry thats the broke ass east side kid in me speaking out loud

yray 10-16-2023 08:49 AM

talking about used tires, I got 8 tires I need to unmount... where can I get them unmounted for cheap :okay:

Badhobz 10-16-2023 08:58 AM

try the ah-bak on hastings and commercial. South China Tire something something. give them a call, that dude and his bitchy ass wife been around for 30 years and they were always super cheap

Try small shops. As they might sit empty without doing any other work and are willing to give a decent deal.

I used to go Greater Vancouver Tire and Auto Service right on Queensborough when I lived there. And their price was shockingly low compared to chains.

If you have a Costco membership they might do it for free if they aren't busy. The one here did 5 for me no problem.

A costco tire shop that's not busy? You live in the middle of nowhere?

https://www.lmnautoandtire.ca

Used to be called National Tire Wholesale. I guess they separated from them.

Anyway.

lol. The Costco here is still busy AF after closing hours.

They have to make a line and and close off isle by isle to slowly push the customers to the front to pay and gtfo.

underscore 10-17-2023 08:27 AM

Fair point actually, the one here is usually pretty busy too. But when I got there they only had 1 car inside and 4 people standing around.

It's rough out here, I have to hike for a hour just to get enough of a cell signal to send each post.

^call Elon bro, his internet satellites to the rescue

I keep seeing the big ads for it in airports and each time the price is lower and lower. I figure if I wait long enough it'll be free.

Can't you check in person when you buy off FB? Or bring it to apple store for a check before you hand over the cash?

I prefer BB Geek Squad refurb iPhones, almost as good.
