Hmm... this is strange. Canadian and international news are re-appearing in my Failbook wall again. Has there been a new development between Meta and the Canadian gov that I am not aware of? |
Just need to find somewhere to rant. There was some huge party last night that went on until 4am. I thought it was a neighbourhood house, but no it was across the FUCKING RIVER in RICHMOND. I live in Fraserview 4 blocks up from Marine Drive and I could hear it in my house. What. The. Flying. Fuck. :seriously::fulloffuck::ohgodwhy: I called Richmond RCMP non emergency, they were very apologetic but they said they really couldn't do anything about it because I don't know where it is and neither do they. A general area doesn't really help. |
It doesn't seem hard to track down where such an insane level of noise could be coming from. Just driving around, you'd be able to converge on it. You'd just have to be sufficiently bored, and probably the RCMP is not that bored. 15 years ago I would've been happy for a reason to go on a night drive and be useful. Maybe a business idea. Hay kids, earn $5, help complete this random quest! |

I have no idea why, but I do find around Halloween a much longer leash is given for some reason. I'm probably one of those weirdos with really sensitive hearing as well where I can pick up a lot of things other's cannot. I think probably also because no one could pinpoint where exactly it was coming from so nothing was done or could be done. I would have went to look for it, but I have two kids and they were taking turns crying. I believe they could probably hear it and were bothered by it. A sound machine only covers so much. |
Tell me you’re an old man without telling me you’re an old man. Get off my lawn zipper heads |
There’s being a Karen, then there’s calling the cops on a party going on in another city Karen. |

Lol Maybe you’re just in the perfect spot to hear it up on the hill |
Honestly if you can hear a party 5 houses away, never mind 5km away, you need to do some soundproofing work and some window replacements lol. |

Possibly something hosted at one of those Halls along River Rd /No 6? |
Yup, I hear trains in the middle of the night. The train tracks are by Winston Slip and I'm up the hill closer to Curtis Avenue. They say shit flows downhill, but sound, well............. it goes everywhere, gulolol. Cold nights are the worst. |

Yes exactly. Anus in full bloom. |
-might be a quieter Halloween night in Surrey after this RCMP seizure of illegal fireworks: LUL https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2023/1...works-seizure/ Mounties in Surrey seized $100,000 worth of illegal fireworks from a single business just before Halloween, according to the city. In a statement Monday, officials say bylaw officers identified that pyrotechnics were being sold at the particular location after they “conducted online and social media searches for sellers of fireworks in Surrey.” When officers arrived at the business, they reportedly “observed several shelves” stocked. The fireworks were seized by the RCMP, and “municipal tickets” were issued to the employer and two employees. The city notes fireworks are not allowed to be sold or discharged without a valid permit from the local fire department, as well as a Federal Fireworks Operator Certification. Anyone found in contravention of the rules could face fines of up to $5,000 in addition to licence suspensions. It’s not clear how much the business owner in this specific incident was penalized. “It took four pick-up trucks and a minivan to transport the illegal items found at this single location,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. |
The $100K in stock hurts more than the $5K fine. |
I so miss the days or growing up in Surrey and there were so many fireworks going off you couldnt see 10' in front of you because of the smoke. |
Biggest peeve I am having lately when driving are the cockbags that speed through school zones, and those faggots that turn into inside streets right from the smack middle holding up traffic (where is there tons of space to pull to the right and then make the turn in) - you ain't driving a bus u asshole. |
Tons of very inconsiderate or ignorant people on the road. Funny enough the best time to drive I find is the morning commute, where everyone has a purpose and knows where they are going and there's less retarded shit going on and they are surprisingly courteous about not getting into other people's ways because everyone needs to work. It's busy in the morning but it flows. |
We still using derogatory words to describe people doing things that we don't like? |
