God... I might be old and cheap as fuck. But I used to stock up on toonie Tuesdays (it was really at $2+tax for y'all who weren't old enough to have seen it) so it could go with my instant noodles.

you got benefits at your work. I have the maple app and you can see an online doctor in less than 10 mins. heck even 1 time fee is $25.

Get it checked out and get looked at virtually via ur iphone.

Mikoyan 11-14-2023 07:14 PM

7/11 has a 2 piece dark combo with 3 wedge fries for $5. No drink.

I gave it a try the other day and it wasn't too bad at all. Chicken pieces were fresh and fair sized.

Badhobz 11-14-2023 07:17 PM

get the fuck outta here, since when does 7/11 have chicken!? PICS!!!!!!

Is 7/11 too peasant for you?! They've got it for years if not decades (no joke, I can't remember when was the first time I had it. But I think it was before I moved to Toronto, and that's over 10yrs ago)

They have gotten a lot more options than just hotdogs in the old days.

Badhobz 11-14-2023 07:35 PM

nah i just never go to 7/11. I cant remember the last time i was in there.

i used to buy slurpee's when i was a kid and stealing porno mags from the one on east hastings, but i havent been inside one for years and years.

Mikoyan 11-14-2023 07:52 PM

Yeah, it's not just hot dogs on rollers anymore. I was pleasantly surprised about the $5 menu. Can't always get a $1.50 Polish at Costco all the time.

whitev70r 11-14-2023 08:05 PM

7/11 ... if it is fresh is decent. If it's been sitting in the warmer for a while, it sux.

Razor Ramon HG 11-14-2023 09:43 PM

After you step into a 7-11 in Asia, you never want to step into the ghetto ass shit that we have here again.

Klondike 11-14-2023 10:31 PM

7/11 wedge fries are good too. Their chicken beats KFC any day.

I got some coupons in the mail for DQ so I went to redeem the 2 can dine double bacon/fries/drink.

While the cashier had his back turned, I grabbed the coupon off the counter. It's good for another month :lol

68style 11-14-2023 10:56 PM

If you download their app all the coupons are on the app too

Be aware, that you have to be connected to LTE at the time for it to work. If you're on WiFi at the time, you may get the alert later.

Also some phones are set to REPEAT the alert after you dismiss it. Check your settings.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with getting yelled at educating people about it anymore.

Badhobz 11-15-2023 09:11 AM

Argh my poor dogs are gonna have a field day with this. I better go stuff my phone down my pants at 1:55pm

So my phones are typically on no ringer, and this message doesn't override that so it'll vibrate but won't sound the alarm.

What was the root cause of this supposably? / What would you do differently to prevent it?

genetics. pure and simple. but, if I didn't change my lifestyle, everyone would think I'm an idiot. you can't eat extra cheese and pepperoni pizzas and smoke 2 packs a day after the work that was done on your body.

Was just at Burger King on Columbia. On my way to FabricLand. I made mobile order for the $2.00 Nuggets and medium onion rings. I park up front and see this lady in an older Mitsubishi SUV. She’s frantically trying to start the car. There’s about eight cars behind her. Nobody’s offering to help. I go over and try to help get it started. It wasn’t a dead battery. Healthy cranking, but no start. So, I get her to put it in neutral and start to push. That’s when I realized I’m not young anymore. I had to get others to help push. Short of dragging people out of their cars, I got the driver behind her to help. Only after I told him, nobody’s going home unless we get her car out of the way. Damn, the car was like a tank, weight wise. After we struggled to get the car across to a safe location I saw a second guy on the other end. This guy looked like a linebacker. Can’t imagine how we moved the car that far (30 feet), lol. Anyway, by this time, there was about twelve or so cars in the line up. Nobody getting out of their cars. At least no honking. What’s with people these days.

On a side note, nuggets were okay, but the onion rings………… so freaking bad. I want my money back!

PeanutButter 11-15-2023 12:36 PM

Hey where do you guys go in Blaine to pick up packages?
Any recommendations?

A colleague told me about 24/7 parcel, but apparently they charge you if you don't pick it up within a week. I'm not sure when i'll be able to pick up right now.

Traum 11-15-2023 12:48 PM

WTF?! Even during snow days last year, people were totally willing to / voluntarily offered to help push cars out of snow banks and stuff. And the weather right now is infinitely nicer.

If a car in front of me is stuck, with people visibly pushing the car to move it out of the way, the least any sensible person is to come out and take a look. The dead car is blocking their own damn way! If you are a 5' tall spy balloon, then OK -- I can see how you may not be the most physically suitable person to help. But 90% of the average male driver would have no problem helping with a little push.

:failed:
