So tonight I heard about blk. water. It's basically water with a bunch of useless marketing and claims about being better water because it contains fulvic acids which helps with electrolyte consumption. Anyway, it's pitch black water and it'd be kind of a cool thing to just pop out around the house with guests around.

Did someone say Bon's minimeet?

You know there's a place on hastings near Granville (with no wait) that does 2 eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, toast AND potatoes for $5. With no wait. Did I mention the no wait? Yeah, there's no wait.

Best $5 hangover breakfast ever. Especially 'cause when I go to Bon's I get a side of sausages with my bacon anyways.

drove by Canadian tire on Kingsway and Gladstone and notice a sign about a closing sale. Anyone check it out yet? What's the percentage that they're taking off?

I don't drive by there often or else i'd check it out myself.

MG1 07-02-2012 08:06 AM

^there's a Canadian Tire on Kingsway and Gladstone?

Right, the one near Nanaimo that's been having a sale for a long ass time.

It's like those furniture places that have a five year old sign up that reads, "Closing Forever."

I think it's their clearance centre, like the one they had at their Hastings Street location. I think I'll go by there just because I have nothing better to do.

^^Does anyone pay retail at CTC anyway? I mean, you see something you want, and wait up to 4 weeks and it will be listed at 40% off. I bought floor mats for my truck, and the next time I was in, they were like half price.

The only thing I thought was damn you CTC, I knew this would happen. They have trained their customers nicely in the art of getting a deal.

I'm going to just start bartering at the till.

"It comes to $47.94"

"I will give $30 out the door"

speaking of CT...

Was there yesterday, nothing special that I saw. They're merging with another store on MArine Dr so it's not like they have to liquidate everything, they'll just have to drive it about 8Km and put it on a different shelf

lilaznviper 07-02-2012 10:57 AM

I'll report to you its not really a sale. They are closing this month and according to people I know that work there they have a sale on "selected" things which is very little. They are moving remaining products to another store

i had a case before at my house, imo its horrible marketing

even when i was hung over as fuck and i go to my fridge, and even though i know its just water, the thought of picking up a bottle of pure black water was so unappealing that i just went to the tap

Does anyone know a Mattress shipping company? I've tried googling but to no avail. I only want to ship a mattress and not all my furniture.

I want to ship my mattress from Vancouver to Ottawa.

That store has been there for awhile. Since the one at grandview opened up this one has been not getting as much business since the other one is much bigger and has a lot more stock than this one.

lilaznviper 07-02-2012 08:26 PM

fliptuner 07-02-2012 08:42 PM

My dad used to manage the full-service Shell that used to be beside it.
