^ I've been seeing it around, even T&T has it, but apparently the chillis source is different now and it tastes different, even the colour is wrong, it's a lighter oranger colour. |

i tried this new batch. it taste about the same but the color is off... not as deep red as the old underwood chilis |

Huy Fong went to farms in Mexico. The Mexican farms had problems with yields that's why there was a shortage. The sauce now tastes different according to many people. Underwood farms the OG supplier of chilies makes it's own sauce now. |

I still have little bit of a bottle of the OG Huy Fong from late 2022 that I was able to compare back to back with the new Huy Fong stuff I just picked up. Yes, the colour of the old stuff is slightly deeper red, a little bit thicker consistency, and tastes ever so slightly "richer". Some of that could also be attributed to the fact that old stuff had some oxidation/aging in the bottle since it is nearly a year old (and I don't store it in the fridge) But it's totally passable and if I didn't have the back to back test I would never be able to tell it's any different. |
Badhobz is all about that thick consistency in his sauce, he's gonna notice that tongue feel immediatement |
