sortttaaaa true.

Getting back into the Scat Pack/S2000 daily still scared and excited me a ton. Other than that, it's straight into a 458 or Performante.

Literally everything else has lost its luster though (including the 981 GTS, 991 GT3 which I had kinda planned to get)

That 5k at Exotics Racing saved me so much sales tax and disappointment

They got gifted a fat DP for their wedding on a $800K condo. He wants to buy a Datsun 240z but thinks he doesn't have enough.

- 5x the price saved
- Dual income
- No kids
- No debt, all current cars paid for
- SWE in FAANG compensation

I argued if you don't buy it soon, you'll probably never buy one or end up with it in your 50's to 60's. Plus the $40K you pay today, you'll get $40K when you're done with it and sell it. The repairs and maintenance will be your cost to play.
When my total transportation cost is less than 10% of my annual income.
The S2k was 15% and that felt like a lot.

The one thing that helps me is the super cheap leases in the states.
E Tron GT RS leasing for $650 puts it at like 8k + insurance a year, so 140k income isn't unreasonable

Someone with 500k in the bank that won't enjoy themselves is far less wealthy than the guy with 30k in the bank that does everything he wants to do.

The parents with a 4 car garage and paying for their son's condo probably don't do things like that. If they sacrificed their lives to give him that ability, why not take advantage?

Not really a good buy so putting it here. What a beauty of a NSX - that interior colour combo is giving me a boner.

How do you guys really deep clean an older windshield? I can't see shit at night in my car and looking closely it has a bunch of little spots on it that I can't get off with regular window cleaner wipes. I tried the razoe blade thing but that didn't seem to pick anything up.

Are you sure its not physical "speckle"

Buy a new windshield.
My 93 prelude years back had that sand "speckle" from age, eventually got a crack, replaced the windshield for 300$.

The difference in new vs old glass was massive, its like looking through 720p vs 4k.

If the above is too pricey, apparently there is also a glass restoration kit you can buy, make sure you test it on a smaller section first tho. And look through it in all condition before doing the whole windshield.

If it's built up shit on the glass, get a glass polish compound to strip out the build up of rainx and other shit to the bare glass

Make sure it's a polish with an abrasive to really strip the glass of the layers of dirt and product..

Before applying aquaoek I'll use Invisible Glass Glass Stripper and lots of elbow grease. It's abrasive and should remove most things. You could also try an aggressive clay bar? Make sure you clean the inside as well with your choice if glass cleaner. A thin layer of oil usually develops over time and makes things blurry.

I think folks who get inheritance are from parents who were good at saving.

So the entire family tree is unable to spend. It's actually crazy how widespread this is as everyone is nearing 30's.

Top 1-8% of income/wealth but spend like the 50%. Not that it's a bad thing but it's time to start checking off experiences you wanna do!

So if you have $130K in TFSA + 6 months emergency fund, that's a green light to buy a GT4 soon

You would disappoint me if that 130k stayed in the bank for the next 30 years

The tfsa can be utilized two ways.....

Retirement when you cant fit in a gt4 because your joints are failing

Or.......

30 years earlier, enjoyed for x-xx years on that gt4, and if your lucky the cars value will keep up with inflation even with increased milage. THEN you sell it and use it as a "tfsagt4"

Every time i look at my rrsp, i want to pay the tax on it, and put it to use on my next RE purchase, or do the irresponsible and put it towards a priceless purchase of a G̶t̶4̶ nsx

Edit:
I wish our licence plates could be 7 digits, tfsagt4 or rrspnsx would be a sick licence plate lol
Spoiler!

I was able to scrub most of the spots off the outside and residue off the inside and now you can see all the fine pitting and scratches. I'll see how it is but odds are I just need a new one. Fingers crossed they still make them.

I'll bite. That's what mine requires. I've been buying Mobil1 oil of the recommended viscosity. Should I not bother?

I just use what's recommended, or whatever the manual or Toyota service bulletins recommend until otherwise.

I'm ghetto, so after my car's warranty was over, I just use Motomaster or Walmart Super Tech 0W20 and change oil once every 6 months.

Edit: I forgot about Toyota 0W8 on their new cars. Can't wait for that when I get the Toyota Crown
