I wish I had these when I spent a month in India. I got food poisoning in Bangalore and it was a pretty crappy situation. |
Fuck Imodium is bad news lol Had food poisoning in Mexico and all the medications in the store on the resort were in Spanish so I saw Imodium, a brand I recognized with a picture of a gut on the label figured this should work Take 1 right away, felt terrible still a few hours later, ate lunch and took 2 more before getting on the plane home. Didn’t realize it was to prevent diarrhea. Didn’t shit for like 4-5 days fuck the food poisoning was nothing compared to how uncomfortable that felt lol |
Immodium works. Too well. The problem is, your body is trying to get rid of bad food. Same as throwing up. If you throw up, it usually solves the problem. As for Immodium, I only use it when really fucked and I can’t be sitting on the toilet every five minutes. I take the dissolvable ones. Melts on your tongue kind. I take initial dose and once more after a bowel movement of the liquid kind. The disolvable tablets come in blister packs that can be broken into its individual portion. I keep them in my watch pocket just in case. Really convenient. BTW, cheapest place to buy the Immodium Disolvables is Costco Pharmacy. Kept behind the counter. Label should read use responsibly or it will fuck you up. |
That's why I'm not a fan of Immodium. If your body is creating diarrhea, it's for a reason. You want to get that stuff out, not bung yourself up entirely. Hopefully it clears up by itself BC. It's annoying how some doctors can be overly cautious when prescribing antibiotics for stomach bugs, they'd rather you suffer for weeks long before finally caving in. I get it they want to avoid antibacterial resistance, but sometimes the over cautious approach doesn't help anything. |
I'll revisit him if the symptoms don't improve after using this Asian stuff. I don't want to live like this forever. |

Fair warning, it tastes as disgusting as it smells but good lawd does it ever work wonders! |
Looks like we can add gastrointestinal issues to the 'old men posting on RS' quota :toot: I remember taking the London Drugs storebrand version of Immodium and I didn't pass a single log for 4 days and I ate a lot in that time period. Probably the closest I felt to pregnancy before finally giving birth to that 9lb brown baby boy. |

Is the trumpet logo to remind you to blow ass in the toliet ? Seems a bit in the nose. Typical chinaman branding. |
First of all, it's a bugle. Secondly, it's manufactured in Japan. |
Shaddup old man! Trumpet !!!!!!!!! Toot toot from my ass |
I wikid it and found out Seirogan 征露丸 means "Conquer Russia pills" in Japanese lol! Edit: Nm that was the old name. They changed it to something more PC, not sure if that's also pronounced as sei ro gan. "kanji character 征 (Sei, "conquer") as being undesirable from the standpoint of international relations. ... So in most cases, the written name of the pill was changed to 正露丸 ("right dew pill"). Taiko Pharmaceutical made the change in 1949.[10] But one manufacturer Nihon Iyakuhin Seizō (日本医薬品製造) still uses the old written form that reads "conquer"." |
Those pills were standard issue for the Japanese Imperial Army during the Russo-Japanese War. A cure all, pill. A lot of history behind those little black pills. My Asian Studies courses at UBC………… learned a shit load of quite useful information. That bugle symbol would be called rappa. BTW, Japan won convincingly over the Russians in that war. Final battle was at sea. Russia’s Baltic Fleet was destroyed. First time in history an Asian country defeating a western power. |
Regardless of its history, it works well. Except not for white people as evidenced by SkinnyPupp lol |
I remember getting into the history behind the Chinese Dynasties. Really fascinating stuff. So sad to see how foreigners (Portuguese, Spanish, British, French, and Russians) took advantage of China. Chinese literature pre modern age was my favourite topic. |
On the topic of Chinese history, I don't really have any sympathy for the plight of the Qing Dynasty though. Their own conceited and self-centered view of the world, their refusal to get on with the modern times, their own stupidity and corruption were some of the reasons for their downfall. Same thing applies to the KMT's loss to the CCP. The KMT ranks were so corrupt and incompetent themselves that they have no one else to blame but themselves. |
What really amazes me is the history of written language. The need we humans have to record things. Everything from events, recipes, scientific research, inventions, thoughts and ideas, etc. I look at the indigenous culture and how they didn't develop past the basic survival skills because, up until recently, they never had a writing system or kept records of their history and achievements. Stories handed down from generation to generation. Yeah.......... tell a story like that and it's never accurate over time. Since cave dwellers, humans have kept records. Myths and legends are told through stories. Facts are written down or recorded. The only indigenous peoples of the Americas to have a written language were the Mayans. Ancient scrolls and text written on stone and wood........... the bible, the printing press, etc. Then, there's electronic form of communication............. how's that for off topic. One day in a thousand years, someone will discover the shit posted on Revscene............ they'd be like, "Were humans that crazy back then?" gulolol..... |
