Backups of RS messages on microfiche and placed in MG1's time capsule. Small portion also stored in a hermetically sealed #2 mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnall's back porch..................

I'm generally more sympathetic to airlines than most people. I get there are challenging logistics that go on behind the scenes and that sometimes they are blamed unfairly for things that truly are outside of their control.
But this is brutal. The fact Air Canada actually went to the trouble of defending themselves and making this argumenet, as opposed to just doing what's right, is terrible. It's customer service 101.

Air Canada, for its part, argued that it could not be held liable for information provided by the bot.
"In effect, Air Canada suggests the chatbot is a separate legal entity that is responsible for its own actions. This is a remarkable submission. While a chatbot has an interactive component, it is still just a part of Air Canada’s website," Rivers wrote.
"It should be obvious to Air Canada that it is responsible for all the information on its website. It makes no difference whether the information comes from a static page or a chatbot."
The airline also argued that the chatbot's response to Moffatt's inquiry included a link to a section of its website that outlined the company's policy and said that requests for a discounted fare are not allowed after someone has travelled.
Rivers rejected this argument as well.
"While Air Canada argues Mr. Moffatt could find the correct information on another part of its website, it does not explain why the webpage titled 'Bereavement travel' was inherently more trustworthy than its chatbot. It also does not explain why customers should have to double-check information found in one part of its website on another part of its website," he wrote.

Earlier this morning when I logged on to RS, I noticed a small handful of familiar users online and then a long laundry list of usernames with a similar name, except differentiated by some numbers. Clicked on a few and location was Russia.

Try opening your browser in incognito mode and see if it will work. It seems to be a first-time deal sort of thing. Or just racist.

I need two nylon washers in this specific size: 5/8” OD with a 7/16’ ID and ¼” thick
Is this a common size or specialty? Tried looking on Rona/Lowes and Home Depot. Some of the specs are not listed or I am reading it wrong. Thanks in advance.
