"Ships are not required to have tugboat escorts when passing under the Francis Scott Key Bridge so they have limited ability to slow down on their own when they lose power and can not put the propeller into reverse."
Guarantee that shit's going to change now. If anyone got a few mill laying around to buy a fleet of tugs and get rich. Im pretty sure all major movements near metropolitian areas or bridges will be mandated to require escort tugs in the USA after this kinda bullshit.
As for vancouver any larger vessels over 250m LOA or what we considered a tier 1 vessel needs tugs when approaching first narrows (lions gate bridge)
I'd assume they don't want to deal with the delays from an insurance company messing around when it comes to fixing a piece of infrastructure that large. Just get it fixed and go after them for the bill after.

I bought an OLED Nintendo switch. Does anyone know who does mod chip installations locally ? I read you can install a mod chip and then home brew / jailbreak it.

Turnaround is about 1-2 weeks depending on his schedule. It's a side gig for him.
He'll ask if you want the software set up, but I'd skip it since there's tons of guides to do it yourself to save money.
You'll have to acknowledge a waiver that he's not at fault if anything goes wrong. Installing the modchip on a Switch requires microsoldering, so it's a lot harder than normal soldering.

BTW, you can't go online with downloaded games unless you want to get your device banned.
Most people will play their legitimate games on the original firmware (called the sysnand) and play their homebrews and downloaded games on the hacked firmware (called the emunand).
The hacked firmware is called the emunand because it's stored on your microSD card and emulated.
You can choose which firmware to boot into when you start up your Switch.
I did it this way for over a year before I sold my Switch and it was never banned.
