Interestingly, I think they actually did this in the early days for a lot of crimes or punishments. It's like in the Hunger Games when that chick volunteered herself to save her sister from competing. |

Anyways religion is weird. The only god I believe in is my wife. Stupid spy balloon. I need to visit the church of spy balloon as she seems to have this uncanny ability to make my life a living hell if she isn’t worshipped |
I'm not saying it makes sense, i'm just saying that's what they think it's like... I sometimes envy religion though. I know people who legit believe in God and heaven and they seem very content with life. It's like ignorance is bliss. Not sure if ignorance is the goal though. Or maybe it is.. I dunno. |

Like, he could've just given eternal life without having his son be some emo chick like "humans are good I'm gonna literally DIE if u don't let them into heaven" |

Original sin is the way they burden you with previous generations sins to control you into further bullshit. So gross. |

If it’s only a couple people you can probably show up, but if you give them a call a week or a few days before it’s probably a good move |

It's a big restaurant with a massive patio, the most I've ever seen is maybe 6-7 tables full on a given evening. You can make a reso, but I wouldn't worry about it, we go multiple times a year during high season and can always just walk in for a table right away. |
https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/...d-19377922.php ah christ, i was gonna take my road trip further this year and drive highway 1 all the way to L.A. Looks like no bueno, closure expected till sep |
I'm helping a friend look at a E46 / E90 BMW, budget is roughly $4-7.5K. Which generation do you guys think is better for reliability / lower maintenance cost? E90 seems to be cheaper to buy. |
Before the BMW guys chime in, I think an important question we need to ask you/your friend is how much do they have budgeted for annual maintenance and unexpected repairs, and what is the intended purpose of use? I think the rule applies to any car (especially European.) If it's cheap to buy, you'll pay for it later in different ways, and for a variety of reasons. |
You can buy my friend’s 2011 328xi. Female driven (into the ground). It has like 150,000kms on it and she had it serviced at some Indy in Richmond. She’ll sell it for around 8-9k I think. |
Driving around Vancouver, sometimes up the mountain. BCAA will cover any tows needed. I think a 320i or 328i is best. Budget for annual maintenance is around $3-5K over a 5 year ownership period. I've ran into great luck owning cars, most repairs were what's in line with the scheduled maintenance. Even when I considered a E92 M3's, it seems cheap to own and reliable once you get the $2-5K maintenance out of the way. Which is mostly completed by now, since those cars are nearing 15 years+ |
