Nothing new.. Transit police make more then normal VPD/RCMP.. I think they consider it the "privledged" position.

Not my cup of tea, but interesting nonetheless. I've always wanted a real life version of the Vintage Hot Wheels Chrome Mustang Boss 302.

Maybe that discount was just for your account... I don't see it when I view my cart.

so looks like i'll be moving to Vernon BC for my new position in 2 weeks.....just wondering will I need to chance my cell phone number? or am i able to keep my existing 604 number? if I need to change my number, do I just give roger's a call?

i-VTEC 07-20-2012 11:36 AM

Venon uses area code 250, so you might not be able to keep your 604, you can either go retail store or call them

The main problem is when people call your 604 number.

For people in 604/778 area, it's local call for them to call you, but when you pick it up in Vernon, you'd have to pay for the LD. (the call is virtually routed from GVR to Vernon)

For people in Vernon's 250, it's LD for them to call you and LD for you to pick it up.

For you to call Vernon's 250 while in Vernon is local. And if you call 604/778 in Vernon is LD for you.

Unless you have plans that includes unlimited LD and don't worry local people never call you because of LD charges, I don't see why keep the 604 number.

If you absolutely need to keep the number for people from GVR to call you, the other thing you can do is port the number to Wind or any cheap provider that offers the cheapest plan on unlimited Canada-wide calling. Then set a call-forwarding to your number in Vernon.

Guess I will try to get that new area code but try to keep my same last 7 digits...wonder if that will be possible since the new area code is suppose to overlap all 3 existing bc area codes.
