It would take you probably two hours to clean your bbq and you're going to get dirty. $400 seems crazy. I would think $125 would get the job done. |
what are you guys a bunch of communists!? support the free market!!!! buy, throw, rinse and repeat! |
That arbutus club rumour just won't die. Now people are posting names of a couple of members who where expelled. |

I wAnder when London Drugs will open again. Closed for six days or so. Victim of a cyber attack. As soon as they open, I’m going to show support and shop there. Even if their prices are higher than other places. They’re locally owned and operated (HY Louie). Easiest place to shop. Price match policy is great. People working there are, for the most part, very nice. They have some awesome deals there sometimes. Clearance and blow out sales. Last deal I took advantage of was an Audio Technica AT-VM95ML Cartridge for $100.00 off. Unheard of. I wish them well and hope they make a speedy recovery. https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/l...r-2024-8694090 |
Looks like some locations are open, according to their website. No official news yet. Maybe some RS members can confirm. We live here, it should be simple. The location nearest me is still closed (Brentwood). |
^I don't usually have an affinity for retail stores but LD is one of my few exceptions. I love their unique assortment in their snack aisle and they've always made an effort to transfer cameras / TVs from other stores if the one I'm at is OOS. Really sucks to see them suffer like this despite their cybersecurity negligence and I hope they'll financially recover from this. Ironwood was still closed yesterday from what I can tell. |
Whoever hacker attacked LD should be hung ... big part of their business is medication. Hope people weren't up the creek for refills, meds, etc. |
At Kent’s Kitchen ATM. London Drugs is, indeed, closed. Pharmacy and post office are open by the sounds of it, but need to call ahead or something. People have PO Boxes there. At least the locations I’ve been to, do. Update: Confirmed. South doors are closed, but there is a worker at the north entrance letting people in for pharmacy and post office. |

I never shop at Walmart, but I always will go to London Drugs, usually the Brentwood location. As MG1 said, staff are always really nice, and historically, LD has paid their employees well. I go out of my way to make sure I support such businesses. This whole hacking fiasco is going to really hurt them financially. |
This data breach must have been absolutely catastrophic for them to be shut an entire week. Even for a place like London drugs this is 10’s of millions lost. Also a huge blow to the reputation as well. Can you really be sure your VERY sensitive information hasn’t been exposed if you’ve ever been a customer of their pharmacy? I doubt this is along the lines of a simple data breach or ransom, this seems like it’s moreso entire data bases, customer info, etc. has been exposed if you’re closed this long |
It’s gotten almost no fanfare in the news but UHG in the USA is still under ransomeware for months now and it’s cost them almost $1B now… pretty much every person in the medical system in the USA has had their info exposed |
I have this feeling the feds or whoever investigates cyber crime want this dealt with properly. Nail the Fokkers responsible for the crimes, caught and punished to the nth degree. I’m sure there are a lot of companies out there that have paid to keep it under wraps. It could be that this breach is somehow traceable. Yeah, I’ve been watching too much TV, jbol. Have to go back and see how the BC Biomedical breach was handled. |

First thing I do is visit the snack aisle, lol. Tim Tams and other British made products. Also, vinyl for the collection. Maybe some specialty sodas. |
