I'm curious to know what percentage of voters can actually be swayed these days and switch teams, it has to be a fairly small number in the states. At best you're hoping the oppositions choice is so shitty that those people just decide not to vote at all.

People can be swayed. I used to vote Right (I would say I was "fiscally conservative, socially liberal" which is bullshit but I was too young and dumb to realize it). That was before the right became complete self satire though. After 2016 things just went off the rails, and if you're willing to stick to that side now? You're right, I don't think many people will be like me and consider things at a higher level than "me and my team".

It became acceptable to outwardly hate groups of people after 2016, and that drives a LOT of voting power. That's what they're counting on now, not just the non-idiots who are looking out for their own self interests at the expense of others. Hate gives them even more power.

To me, these are the possible switches.

NDP <-> Liberal <-> Conservative

It's pretty rare to go from NDP <-> Conservative or vice versa, ideologically they're too far apart.

The only time NDP can go to Conservative is if you're young/college and you're NDP then you because older and make more money, you tend to become more conservative, in my experience anyway.

This literally happened with an old friend I had dinner with. He was a staunch socialist in college and voted NDP through college, now he's a successful lawyer and he's literally volunteering with the new BC conservative party, lol.. I found that hilarious.

imo i think anyone can go from ndp to conservative very easily. if you hate the liberals you might vote conservative just to force a change of gov and not split the left vote. it doesnt happen very often but i think in next years election it will happen a lot. tons of people were obama voters and then voted for trump, and that idealogical spread is even further than what we have here with the libs and cons.

I'm so thankful VW uses a cartridge style filter on top of the engine. I use a fluid extractor from princess auto.

Couple pumps, then let suction do the work.

Everything is accessible from the top. I never have to get down on my knees or back.

I like crawling underneath the car. I get a chance to take a look if there are any leaks , cracked bushings , and issues that needs addressing. Also I always change the washer on the 14mm drain plug (unlike the stinking dealership) so I just get a good warm and fuzzy that the job is done right.

As a driver, I hate #2 in the list above. But in the city, literally tons of people behave exactly in that manner when they cross intersections, and I just couldn't understand why.

Yeah it was a white chick (driver) - she was completely oblivious to what was happening and the dude looked mentally ill or was on drugs. He was a Japanese guy wearing either a blonde wig or a blonde wreath and had the look of someone who was focused on something other than the people around him. He didn't have the right of way to cross and also blocked the Mercedes who had the green light as well
