I watched a really long review of what it does with bread and I'm willing to try it, my gf has to eat gluten free bread and it's fucking awful... expensive and awful sawdust... if it can somehow toast the outside and keep it chewy on the inside then that's worth it to me so she doesn't have to feel sad every time she wants toast lol
buying a $300 toaster to be able to eat gluten free bread is the most millennial thing ever lol

Yah it's an allergy for her, she has any wheat products and she practically goes into coma-levels of tired and crazy upset stomach. She's also allergic to all nuts (except mine!), it's super fun.
While true, I don't doubt that 68's gf legitimately can't eat gluten. Some people are highly allergic to it
For me in that case, just don't eat bread. There's plenty of other non flour carb devices out there!
If it's just a gluten "sensitivity" she can try legit sourdough. The fermentation breaks down much of the proteins.

Yah for sure I do not mean to disparage anybody with gluten allergies, it just from the surface level sounds very millenial if a boomer were to hear that (e.g. avocado toast).
That said, I also agree with the bolded line above, its not like she's being forced to eat bread at home either.

Well now I know you have a ~$200 limit on making your woman happy hahaha
I don't need to spend $200 to make my woman happy.
She's perfectly satisfied with all 5.5 inches. 5.6 on a good day.

FWIW, the Canadian standard is apparently 15.71cm / 6.18", whereas the world standard is exactly 5.5" / 14.1cm.
I am a worldly gentleman.

We are good friends with a woman who is a celiac and the extent you will go to live a “normal” life is crazy, feel bad for her. A $300 toaster is -nothing-
But it’s kind of like 68 said, you are tired af, feel like you’ve got the flu, etc.

Firefighters do the most amount of drugs of any public service sector i have seen, and the driver is a senior role where he stays in the truck the entire time, dude was probably coming off last nights bender
And i dont blame em, they clean the bbq, wash the truck, respond to some cardiac arrests, and maybe do 5 real fire calls a year

I'm thinking the only reason why firetruck would attempt that (assuming driver wasn't high), is because bunch of moron drivers on Knight Street going Southbound didn't move over for him to go straight. All in a hurry to go back to Richmond.
not saying this speaks to all of them but one of the laziest, good-for-almost-nothing pharmacists I ever worked with dreamed about becoming a firefighter. he would have spent his days working out, cooking and probably cat-calling any girls that pass by (he's married with a kid).

The rolling stock on a firetruck should be able to take the abuse of climbing a curb. It's part of their capabilities to be able to climb a curb to get to a fire. The question is the driver may not have slowed down enough or took it at a bad enough angle where it cause the tire to debead or the steel rim to have bent. That would have been a hell of a blow out though as those tires are >110psi iirc.
update to paying duty on my ransomed jersey. I've chosen not to pay, or prepay as they call it. this takes the hold off the item, and it carries on from the shipping center. it doesn't solve much other than at least it's moving again.
