God I hate new cars like new appliances, why so many sensors and connectivity to the internet? Stupid ass stuff like ambient lights that look like a nightclub and an inside camera for tik tok.
Badhobz's recent vehicle purchase is exactly as you described it.
Four buddies going on a golf trip (flying). Three of the four have Nexus, the regular line looks to be 45mins, Nexus is like 10mins. Is it cool to leave the guy in the regular line while the three go through Nexus and meet him on the other side?

You got 1 yes and 1 no. Try it and report back the results.

If you're flying, it used to be before COVID that nexus holders can take co travellers with them thru securit together in the nexus line (just not customs).
Don't know if that's changed now they have different statuses (preferred travellers, etc.)

Maybe driving through the border, but airport security doesn’t care about this, even if everyone is on the same booking.
When you book the flight you can stick the nexus number in the profile for the passengers that have it, and it will show on their boarding passes, they can then break off and use the nexus line individually.
Even when you go through the US declaration portion they don’t care if the entire booking is together or not. I just did this twice in the last year. 2 people with nexus 2 people without were split up

Has anyone applied for this or know anyone who has? My niece who lives in Saskatchewan is coming out here to stay with me so she can attend post secondary here. It would be much easier and probably cheaper if she can just keep her Saskatchewan insurance well she attends school, I think she'll qualify but wondering if anyone else has done the application and the results?
“The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place... and I don´t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But ain't about how hard you hit... It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That´s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you worth, go out and get what you worth.” - Rocky Balboa
I wouldn't even bother informing them. If she ever for any reason gets pulled over, just say she only got here a month ago. The less information you give the govt the better I always say lol
My buddy who went to SFU back in the day lived here and had Manitoba plates on his car for like 5 years because his parents lived in Winnipeg and he never had any issues or reported it to anyone.
Same with other friends who still have AB plates on their car for like 5+ years now.
I feel like it's all fun and games until you get into an accident and file a claim with out of province plates. Then the insurer (especially private insurers) start digging.
