It’s impacting the ports too. A few terminals are down because of this bullshit.

Man. The one time I book Porter instead of Air Canada, it's Porter affected and not AC. They've grounded their flights.

Could be stuck in Montreal tonight!

Yeah one more, they released on Friday. Everyone in tech knows not to do releases on Fridays.

Try the strippers and this restaurant in the old port.

Good atmosphere and meat.

What's more crazy to me is that Crowdstrike has a PE ratio of 567 right now...This might be the most overvalued company in the history of companies.

Imagine paying $567 for every $1 of earnings for a company and this is after a -12% day. Who's buying this stock? That is crazy.

Traditional P/E logic doesn't really make sense with tech companies though. And 567 isn't the highest https://www.marketbeat.com/market-data/high-pe-stocks/

Hondaracers stock tip of the day - Nintendo

Used to hold Nintendo a few years back and made a nice little profit, sold my whole position though. I listen to a few gaming podcast that continually review the Nintendo directs etc.

The replacement for the switch will likely be coming in 2025, holiday 2025 would be perfect.

As well, Nintendo is likely to cut the price of all switches for this Christmas, and as a result, may take the crown as the best selling console of all time prior to the next gen being released.

Honestly this feels like as much of a slam dunk for a double digit profit in a 1.5 year period or so as I’ve felt in a while as a totally amateur investor lol. Also investing in companies I use and like seems to always result in a nice pay day.

Our firewalls are going EOL next year. At one point, I had considered switching the Sophos out with Fortigates + going with Crowdstrike as the EDR.

Will probably reconsider now.

My close friend is a pilot for Porter. He lives in Vancouver but works out of Toronto at the moment (they are opening a Vancouver base in October so that's great for him)

He's worried he won't be able to hop on a flight back to Toronto to start his shift tomorrow.

Told him to start driving his ass cross country.

PSA: I'm pleased to report that the rumours that Chicken Lady of LA Chicken fame is alive and well and working at LA Chicken are real. While she may have put on 20lbs since I last saw her she was spotted working collaboratively with her ex-husband, aka Chicken Man, during the lunch hour service.

In other news, the chicken still rocks and they still don't salt their fries.

Before, we had very basic stuff until we got a new CIO and then a breach happened a week after he was appointed CIO lmao. Emergency deployment of DarkTrace + upgrading our Fortigates, nothing like a good scare to get the money flowing.

DarkTrace seems to be pretty damn cool IMO.

I feel like PE always makes sense, even for tech stocks. At the very least, it'll give you a gauge on the riskiness of the stock. Anyone buying a company with a PE of 567, must really believe in the growth of the company long term.

I get that tech stocks will trade at higher multiples, but if you're above a 100 PE, the company must have some serious growth potential, like 100% quarter over quarter growth for starters.

What a fucking rookie error by CRWD and honestly think the company is amazing, heavily invested in them with avg cost hovering around $90~

After what happened today, I might rebalance a good chunk of my CRWD and take some profits.

Do you think there will be litigation or class-action against CrowdStrike?

Litigation - yes. Outcomes may likely be settled out of court.

Class-action - unlikely

TRU often sells LEGO sets at higher than MSRP.

Biggest complaint for that set is the front and rear wheels are the same width... To correct this, hardcore fans have bought 3D printed tires.
