^ I don't have an iron in this fire, though his compensation is gross by any standard of measurement, nobody needs that much compensation for directing traffic from an ivory tower.
That said, several reports available say that shareholders were not properly informed and that it was done way back in 2018, not today with what's now known.

Nobody likes Galon Weston on here that I know of?
But no effect? He's literally spreading hundreds of lies, false facts, disingenuous beliefs to millions of people every day, many of whom are highly gullible or susceptible to misdirection... and on top of it he's actively designing his social media site to impede voters in the USA.
Galon Weston just stays quiet and fucks everybody kind of facelessly... you can be sure everyone would be bitching to the skies about him non-stop if he was on social media being a lunatic as well. I hate the guy, but what else is there to say besides I hate him and I shop at his store(s) only when I have to? Same thing for Elon, I would never buy a Tesla or any other product he sells. What else can anyone do except speak with their wallet ultimately?
If Elon wants to stay out of everyone's attention, he should just shut the fuck up and keep his racist/prejudiced bullshit to himself. So simple.

Said platform was one of the best ways to get information and used to be a place that news orgs would regularly break news but instead it's now a cesspool of spam, bots and hate.
I still use Twitter a fair bit but man, is it ever terrible now unless some breaking news happens. Outside of breaking news I get better content from TikTok now. It's not like I'm a noob to Twitter - been on there since 2008 and it's gone from breaking news like a plane crashing into the Hudson to trash under Elon's "leadership".

I don't use it either, but I care that the guy who runs it is misleading the public under the guise of "truth"

I only liked twitter because all the instagram skanks would post some proper naked photos there, but most of them left cause Elon hates women.

Tesla literally did another vote last month on the exact same pay package. Now, it's six years later, people had time to digest, evaluate, hate, etc.
The vote last month passed again by over 75%.
The shareholders have now passed two votes on the exact same issue six years apart and people are having issue with it?
You guys are crazy if you think this is right. Like I said, Elon is wacko, there's no question about that, but to deny the shareholders their rights is crazy. This sets a very bad precedent if this vote isn't upheld. Especially after a second vote confirmed the first one, six years later.

I find i'm using instagram threads a lot more lately. The way instagram incorporates threads into the main instagram feed is pretty good. I feel like it's always something i'm interested in.
I feel like threads can take market share from twitter/X with the instagram integration.

So, I was at the grocery store today and saw these 2 fat fucks with all the English skills of the Swedish chef, shoplifting ice cream bars. They both did a pretty horrible job at being inconspicuous but then again, one was shaped like a China Hutch and the other, a Winnebago. Neither exactly moving like Richard Simmons either.
I'm thinking to myself 'why not steal shit that would make you lose weight?' but then I realized, whatever country they ran away from probably required diet & exercise. Meanwhile, Chubby from the Little Rascals & his buddy Augustus Gloop over here are tying up the Earth's oxygen supply so they can laugh & steal another day. One of them bought an energy drink as a decoy as the other left for the door. with the flair of molasses on drywall.
Wow, an energy drink! Better use that energy to waddle your Caillou coffee bean headed, burnt broccoli hair, potato sack lookin ass back to whatever bus depot brought you here.

I recently watched some homeless dude stuff a family sized bag of chips under his hoodie. I also couldn’t help but think to myself, why not steal something smaller and healthier?

For many, food security is becoming a big deal (not for RS ballers, of course) but record number of people have to decide whether to pay their rent or for food. No surprise that food banks usage have increased dramatically recently. These are hard times for even those who worked a decent job for their whole life and their pension +CPP +OAS is still just keeping them barely afloat. It's sad to watch.
Highest demographic who is becoming homeless are seniors.
I see all the homeless addicts, bent over on the streets, sleeping and talk of providing housing. As much as I swing left on this and yes, let's find good clean housing for as many as we can. I just know that some of these folks DO NOT have the capacity to live alone in a suite, maintain personal hygiene, feed themselves, and keep the place in a reasonable cleanliness state. Certain percentage of homeless folks with addiction and mental health issues need some sort of assisted living.
