I just found out that a friend of ours has about $50k in credit card debt on multiple credit cards.

What would be the options for them? I've heard consumer proposal and consolidation are some options, just seeing if you guys can help me narrow it down faster.

The thought of him paying 22% interest hurts my soul.

Or if you have a guy in the debt field, if you could send me his contact info. I want to try and get them on the right track asap.

I know someone like this, they chose to ignore it. I believe a card went into collections. I don’t know what will happen since they own a condo.

Welp ... at least you won't have to stop at a train crossings for a while if it is on your commute route.

Badhobz ... be a hero and hammer out a settlement. Get it done!

Badhobz 08-22-2024 07:22 AM

Not my department. Deltaport is only finishing this one last vessel and then ka blamo! Total stand still.

GG Canadian economy.

I hope the brass at CN and CP stop being such a cheap motherfucker and just give these boys their money so we can all continue on with our lives.

Even though you are no longer in the rail industry, the world is relying on you to solve Canada's problems, Badhobz. Best of luck. :alone:

Traum 08-22-2024 08:15 AM

At what point do you think Turd will step in and mandate them back to work?

Having dealt with the port strike earlier this year, and with an election coming up next year, you'd think Turd might have learned a thing or two from the last incident, and make an effort to score some political points. But so far, it seems like he isn't even trying to make an effort to win that next election.

Of course they won’t because Jagshit feigns he cares about workers and unions. In typical turd fashion he’ll just straddle the middle until the situation resolves itself.

Good on any workers that actually have support to get what they want. I’m
Not a union person in the least after my previous experiences but if you’ve got it and you pay dues, hopefully you’ve got some leverage.

Why are all your political names so fecal?

MarkyMark 08-22-2024 10:23 AM

Pierre Poopooface wouldn't let this happen

Rail strike going to Binding Arbitration ...thanks Badhobz for your role in this. I didn't have time to stock up on toilet paper.

Badhobz 08-22-2024 01:08 PM

I’m just sitting at home playing legend of Zelda tears of the kingdom. I think there’s like 120 unread emails regarding strike, customers losing their shit, containers grounded, detention charged, etc etc etc.

Shut the fuck up, I’m trying to build a super gunboat in game.

Latest news about the Labour Minister imposing binding arbitration to end the rail dispute. MacKinnon said that he would impose back to work legislation if work stoppage continues beyond the binding arbitration.

Global News:

The federal government will intervene to try and bring an end to the labour dispute that brought Canada’s rail network to a grinding halt Thursday, Labour Minister Steve MacKinnon said.

Speaking in Ottawa less than 24 hours after thousands of unionized workers at the country’s two main railway companies were locked out, McKinnon said he will use his powers under the Canada Labour Code to “secure industrial peace” and impose final, binding arbitration.

The minister said the action will help Canadian National Railway (CN), Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) and the Teamsters Canada Railway Conference (TCRC) union settle outstanding terms in their negotiations for a new collective agreement that he said have reached a “fundamental impasse.”

“These collective bargaining negotiations belong to CN Rail, CPKC and TCRC alone – but their effects, and the impacts of the current impasse, are being borne by all Canadians,” MacKinnon told reporters.

He said he has also directed the Canada Industrial Relations Board to extend the term of the current collective agreement until a deal is reached, and for rail operations to resume as soon as that is achieved.

Asked if he would impose back-to-work legislation if the work stoppage continues despite the binding arbitration, with reporters referencing the recent example of the WestJet strike, MacKinnon said he would.

Stop being so humble, we all know you've been working around the clock, without any sleep for the past week, tryung to get a fair settlement. And I know you called JT to convince him to force Arbitration.

Now you're prob working on AC pilots

Yes, electrical union. You would think that the electrical union ONLY has electricians as members but you would be wrong. Our collective agreement is voted with other trades as well so effectively the electrician's vote is diluted, resulting in less than ideal raises and agreement terms.

thanks badhobz, now my container won't come in till the 5th :suspicious:

Badhobz 08-23-2024 07:19 AM

The 5th if you’re lucky. There’s a shit ton of backlogged container traffic. All the reefer and dangerous goods have been on hold for 10+ days already and they need to go first. Followed by all the perishables.

Your women’s panties XL size will have to wait.

yray 08-23-2024 07:53 AM

it's ok, I have a 20' of blow up dolls, usually stored with dg :troll:

Badhobz 08-23-2024 11:55 AM

Stop smuggling in fent damnit !!! I can’t scan all these containers

Badhobz 08-24-2024 10:53 AM

Thanks rail strike! I was able to finally finish tears of the kingdom. Not a bad game. Story is kinda lame but whatever gameplay was fun.

Building those insane constructs was hilarious
