Yep, travel between Vancouver and Richmond during the day has been f-ed for weeks for the reasons mentioned above. Best bet is to take Knight Street Bridge if you go during a busy period - it will still be congested, but not as bad as Oak or Arthur Laing. |
When is oak going to be completed |

A lot of the traffic has moved to Knight and it's backed up almost all day long now. |

Richmond-Vancouver travel i think we should really consider rebuilding the Fraser St Bridge Anyone ever noticed why Fraser and No.5 suspiciously line up? |

It'll take them 15 years and 5m of consultations to even start doing anything  |
Wow.. Highway 1 eastbound 232 to 264 has been closed since 4am. There was a fatal accident involving a motorcycle and car. |

^ yah, was in the news for a while now. They need more doctors so yah, more med schools would be nice! |
I wonder if we could make a Bachelors of Medicine a thing. Like educate people enough to be able to essentially diagnose the basics to efficiently gather data for legit family doctors. Like Tier 1 tech support for humans. And be advocates of healthy lifestyles based on a real medical education, but not actually being licensed to practice for real. So kind of offload a lot of time that could be better spent by legit family doctors to handle the complicated stuff. They would now be the "Tier 2 tech support for humans". Degree could also be used to go next into nursing or even full-on medical school after, or just leverage it as a general science degree and either do something in the bio / biotech field. |
Yah ... it's called Google ... WebMD ... AI. Seriously, there are LPN's, nursing school is only 2 yrs in some colleges, and Nurse Practitioners now to offload MD's. |
I’ve legitimately got better health advice on instagram than some “professionals” have provided me. With that said I think the majority of temporary foreigners and their ailing family members could be diagnosed and sent home by nurse practitioners as opposed to clogging up ER’s for days |
How about charging foreigners full price on health services. If a Canadian that has been out of the country for more than X years, or better yet one's who have never lived in Canada, like tourism babies, pay full or partial cost of services. When push comes to shove, people who've lived here all their lives and have paid into the system should get priority over one's who've never stepped into this country after they've been born here. There's no simple solution and obviously case to case sort of thing. Like I've posted before, there are three times as much Care Cards (whatever they're called these days) as there are bona fide citizens in BC. We need to crack down on these free loaders. /rant LOL, it's becoming a business............ https://canadianimmigrationexperts.c...%20visa%2Dfree. approximately ten grand............. lifetime of benefits. |
