thanks for the tip! i just asked my cousin to go there and pick it up, she said there was only 2 left |
so i got a nail in the rear tire of my hitler box and everyone I call (OK tire, Fountain tire, etc) seems to want at least 40-50 dollars for a flat repair. WTF, I thought this shit was like 20 bucks? https://i.postimg.cc/kGwFK9S4/IMG-3615.jpg |
diy? shouldnt take more than 10 minutes |
yah im just gonna buy a tire plug kit and do it myself. apparently, I don't even have to take off the tire, just jab the rubber thingy inside..... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-UTnDheAMcE but I remember the old days, you had to take off the tire, scrape it with some rubber scrapper thing, apply the patch behind and then put it back on. |
I literally saw this done the other day to gf's car. It surprised me that it can be done (safely) without removing the tire or deflating it. Make sure you have some bubbly water on hand to check for leaks after plugging the puncture. |
It's a new car. Did you take the wheel and tire coverage? But I'd recommend the inside patch vs plugging externally. You're in Rmd? My neighbour says metro tire charges $15 to plug and $30 for inside patch. |
Costco might do it for free or $20 but you'd have to book an appointment and deal with the horror of richmond costco parking. |
I tried Richmond Costco tire change once - it was cheap but I waited 3 hours to get my winters (booked a mid-afternoon slot). |

So I bought a plug kit from crappy tire and it says on the kit that this is just temporary repair. In order to “comply with standard tire repair practices” it still needs an inside patch. Have you guys ever plugged and tire and just left it like that ? My German Neighbor said it’s fine and I don’t need to get the inside patch. |
https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...s-trucks-2025/ The following cars are dead for next year. Audi A5, S5, and RS5 Coupe and Convertible Bugatti Chiron Chevrolet Camaro Ferrari 812 Ferrari F8 Spider Fisker Ocean Infiniti Q50 Jaguar E-Pace Jaguar F-type Jaguar I-Pace Jaguar XF Kia Forte Lamborghini Huracán Maserati Ghibli Maserati Levante Maserati Quattroporte Mini Clubman Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4 Nissan GT-R Nissan Titan Ram 1500 Classic Toyota Venza |
My god FINALLY that 16 year run of the r35 is over. It's. Cool car but that design desperately needed to end. |
Your German neighbour also drives a Chrysler with a battery located in the wheel well. Can you trust him? :lol |
RIP Mirage. The most 90s shitbox of the 2010s.. :QQ: |

I took the tire to Kal-Tire to get a proper patch who said there was too much "sidewall cracking" and refused to do it (there was some, but extremely minor) and wanted to just quote me new tires. So I just plugged it myself. I also ran a plug in one of the tires of the last set of my F150's tires (BFG K02) for like 2 years no issues either, and that included pulling my trailer on dirt back roads a couple times. So yeah. |
From what I hear Jaguar is talking a break for a year. Meaning it's not making any cars for the whole year. |
