That seems like a lot..
I think ours is between 60-80 every month, gas furnace, gas hot water, gas range in main portion of the house, terribly insulated
Is your furnace/hot water tank new/high efficiency?

Over the summer, we would be only using gas for the hot water tank and my gas stove and it's about $70 billing cycle.
In the winter in previous years, when the gas furnace comes on for our hydronic heating, it can spike up to $700/cycle during the cold snaps.
We've installed heat pump minisplits throughout the house upstairs and we used those exclusively last year for heating upstairs (basement still used the gas furnace for hydronic heating) and our gas bill was around $300/cycle during the winter.
This spring at the end of the heating season, we found out that our gas furnace wasn't cleaned properly, like ever, when the fail safe kicked on and shut it off. The heat exchanger had been completely clogged with soot and the flame was coming out around the sides and melted some wires. We had the whole thing disassembled and cleaned. I'm curious what if any efficiency will be regained.

Is your furnace/hot water tank new/high efficiency? | Nope. The furnace is original to the house! So like 40 years old? He just maintained it by replacing parts and keeping it clean.
Hot water tank is 8 years old I think...

It says on for like 1 minute, shuts off for a few minutes and then back on. Someone else one did mention the best way to disassemble the whole thing and clean it. Would you mind telling me how much it cost and/or a contact?

we have a gas furnace and gas hw. my last month was $85, our heat was off the entire time, only started turning it on this past week, so i guess that's all from the hw + basic charge + delivery, trudope tax, etc..

I've got a gas furnace and tankless hot water, both fairly new, a new gas fireplace we never use and the BBQ runs off the house as well. I did the equalized payments thing and right now it's $81/mo or $972/yr ish.

When we tried to restart the furnace it "backfired" as well and the flame blew out all around the outside of the unit and then it turned off.
I'll look for the contact, it's on a card taped to the furnace. Quote:

But my furnace is running non-stop in the winter

What's a normal amount to pay for gas? We have two gas fireplaces we use occasionally, gas furnace and gas hot water tank. The furnace is quite old and I'm guessing not very efficient, but the house seems decently insulated and our windows were updated. | My last bill was $57.13 for August 29 to October 2 with 3.0 GJ used.
Old house from the 50s, 2200 sqft. Gas furnace and water tank.
Next bill on the 29th.

In the fall we even run the heat during the day then run the AC in the evening to cool it down so the kids sleep better lol.
I have no idea what kind of duty cycle it's running since we just keep the fan on 24/7 for air flow.

We used to eat a LOT of Eggo waffles bcos my kid loved that stuff (but not anymore), and I found that the way we toasted them made a HUGE difference in terms of how they come out.
We don't actually have a toaster -- only a small table top oven for this kind of thing. And to really make it tasty, I needed to toast it at ~350ºC on one side for 6 - 7 min when it comes straight out of the freezer. Then flip it over to the other side, and toast it for another 6 - 7 min. And then after that's done, I need to take it out and let it air out for a short while. And then it'll be nice and crispy.
If I didn't toast it long enough, there'd still be moisture from the freezing, and the waffle will be soft or maybe even soggy. And if I didn't let it air out, it'd still be too moist for my likings. But if I leave it airing out too long, it gets cold and it isn't as good anymore.
But man... 15 min of toasting / waiting for 2 lousy waffles... It just doesn't make any sense... |

I tried air frying them. It turned out okay. It’s just too thin and doesn’t have that mouth feel of a real waffle.

For the price of half of one of your senna models you could get yourself a nice little waffle iron! Lol
We usually make them from scratch but recently just used the aunt jemaima buttermilk pancake mix for the waffles, super easy and they were really good

I loath having a ton of niche kitchen appliances. A waffle iron in a Chinese household seem like such a waste. Same as a bread maker or a stand mixer or even an egg beater.

I’m too lazy to make my own waffles (I don’t even have a waffle maker). | Doesn't Costco sell frozen liege waffles?
I had one a month ago and it was pretty good reheated in the toaster/air fryer.
