If not, then $135 does sound pretty high as my TH was $52 for my last bill (Oct 19).

Website states you need a guarantor, but does not state if they need to come with you, or not, for the application.

Website does not have a phone number, nor do their offices.

My parents renewed a few months ago and didn't need their guarantor to accompany them in person.

For NEW applications Guarantors do have to sign. Renewals do not (they're just labelled as "references" on the renewal form). Guarantors do not have to accompany you to the passport office.

Do any of you know a barber or hair stylist that has an extra facial/massage service on top of the hair cut? I've been seeing these barbers on my reels who do like face massages/hot towel service and want to try it out.

I had to apply from scratch 2 years ago and it was what Great68 said. Going into the office is functionally the same as mailing it in, just quicker.

On a side note be sure to take a picture of or write your passport number somewhere. If your passport is lost or damaged and you have the number you can get a new one as a renewal which is way easier. If you don't have the number you have to apply for a new passport with a Guarantor.

When I renewed my passport a few months ago, and went to Service Canada in person to submit application, the SC staff checked overed my application and corrected 2 or 3 things for me despite my best attempt to fill everything out correctly. Apparently I was also required to sign an additional form of some sort -- I forgot why I even needed to do that. Obviously I didn't realized I needed it, so they printed a copy out for me on the fly, and I just filled it in right there and then.

Had I mailed my application in, these little things would probably have caused a good amount of delay, or maybe even a rejection to the renewal.

Tommy Guns does it, extra $29 for 20 minutes I think? They go through a whole process of multiple hot towels and various creams and lotions. And depending on locations its mostly ladies at those hahaha... it's a recent add-on, I tried it when there was a promo in August I think it was like $15 or something half price when they were trial testing it.
