We have a tiny $13 waffle maker at home. The basic flour milk butter baking powder batter my wife makes at home is better than any premade store bought, so just make your own.

inb4 Hobz telling me fuck that shit he's gonna go eat at a restaraunt instead.

Hondaracer 10-24-2024 12:38 PM

Feel like Hobz is looking for those dense yet almost crispy Belgian style which seem hard to make similar at home

Those thin ones like the waffle house makes also look quite good

If not, then $135 does sound pretty high as my TH was $52 for my last bill (Oct 19).

Although as the weather gets colder and colder, your next bill may not be much better lol. I think mine tops out at around ~$140-$160 during the winter

Oooh good question. $15 is an application fee.

It's carbon tax bro and Hondaracer was right! jk.

Woah, you used 7.4 GJ and I only used 2.8GJ. But I just noticed my bill is only up to Sep 27, so it doesn't have the more recent cold'sh spell. I'll try to remember to check again when I get my next bill to see where I'm at...

I gave up and just bought eggo waffles. It’s actually not as bad as I thought. I haven’t tried them for ages and last time they tasted like cardboard.

Listeria be damned. I’m eating waffles tonight

noclue 10-25-2024 04:00 PM

Try the eggo thick and fluffy version.. it's not bad

Hondaracer 10-25-2024 04:22 PM

Eggo’s with the old green Kraft Peanut butter *chefs kiss

MG1 10-28-2024 09:57 AM

Jbol. I was checking out stupid shit on Reddit and found r/BoneAppleTea.

I almost choked on my waffles.

OriginalJC 10-29-2024 10:28 AM

Thought I read the other day about a massive eggo/frozen waffle recall due to listeria contamination

bcrdukes 10-29-2024 12:06 PM

He's probably getting sick from the food he's eating in HK.

GLOW 10-29-2024 12:39 PM

UPDATE: My new bill jumped to 5.8J (last month 2.8J), so yours being 7.4J and you running your 2 x fireplaces (I don't turn mine on except the pilot) does make it somewhat in the same ballpark

Has anyone changed their physical sim to E-sim with Telus?

Their process sounds like basically triggering it and using the QR code but I highly doubt it’s that simple given their incompetence

Do you have an iphone?

If so, you can do it for free here under "Convert a physical SIM to an eSIM on the same iPhone":

https://support.apple.com/en-ca/118669

If not, sorry. I'm on Android but I was able to do it for free online on Bell without having to buy any silly QR codes etc.

Update: The local independent Porsche shops have been swamped for months.

My local independent normally fits me in for track day prep and tech inspection, and usually an end-of-season inspection before I put the Boxster away for storage. This time - no. I won't be able to get the car in until late November.

Reason: The shop is full of 996 and 997.1s for IMS and bore scoring work. I thought they were joking so I called around a few of my alternative shops. Low and behold - bore scoring and engine tear downs of 997.1s. Is it an elaborative scam? Maybe. But I think the age of the 997.1 is catching up and the bore scoring getting worse over time.
