Anytime if the car is collectible, you want it original with minimal mods.
And as you get higher on the totem pole for performance cars, there's really less need to mod as the manufacturers don't cut nearly the same amount of corners, nor do they need to make the same compromises.
You need to make a M3 a somewhat livable car as a daily. You can tell a GT3 buyer to suck it and buy a Macan.

Arent those new NSX's relatively cheap? Although i dont know if the hybrid motors + a v6 is that reliable and the interior is garbage. | $30K, I'm buying that maserati gran turismo for $28K on AlexanderRoad Dealer from Marketplace!
I'd swap a 6MT into an Auto NSX if it mean't I can get a good clean, low km one for $70-90K after conversion.
I don't care about resale at that stage, hell I'd pay $70-90K for a gutted MT swap one too!

Lots of BC ferries sailing cancelled for tomorrow including the one I had booked. Got no email from BC ferries but my brother sent me a message. So I was quickly able to book an earlier sailing. https://www.bcferries.com/current-co...ouver%20Island

BC ferries is such a shit show.. their “wait list” service is fully human controlled lol.. I couldn’t pull up my booking reference to get on a later sailing so i went on their wait list and it’s like manually inputted, updated, and replied to by a human where it could just be a drop down menu with the available sailings..
I’m just going to Pender but it’s still a continuous headache if you’re not 1.5-2 months early

Then buy a Honda Acty as my daily since I drive < 6-10,000KM anyways
The only issue is I can afford to instantly fix my Velo N or S2000 blowing up but it would hurt if a $100K car blew up lol | I thought about this:
Three** things:
Driving exp: 100k range didn’t do it for me: 981/991 GTS, C7/8 Vette. R8 V10 and V8/12 Aston
Maintenance bills: seen too many 30k bills on R8 for suspension/brakes/subframe/clutch, F type for cooling, 997 engine rebuilds
Socially: which group chat do you want to join? do you want to go to PCA where some asshole is gonna nitpick your build sheet? Aston owner club where they mostly care what your dad did? How is FoV, McLaren, or Lamborghini Vancouver?
So for it to be worth the risk/expense, my next jump is gonna be 200k+. It’ll be between 458/Performante/SLS, vintage G wagon/911, or a new GT3/4.
Could buy today but it will probably be a package deal w/ vacation home and members club at the same time.

I did bid to 84 on this one: 6MT swapped 430 spider.
Owner got a great deal still and no regrets keeping that money in my portfolio with the end of year rally.

What is the outlook on a 430 from your POV bidding on it? Seems underpowered but a rarer and rarer model and probably a great car in manual

Seemed like reasonable price for a high revving V8 manual car that came with the Ferrari dealer/owner events.
430 wise:
Spec seemed good - Spider made it rare.
Didn’t expect much appreciation since it’s Miley but should be ok.
Competition wise:
I tracked the R8 V10 and didn’t like it or it’s maintenance bills (the clutches are killer).
I tracked 991/981 GTS and Cup cars, didn’t rly like it.
Early Gallardos have awful interiors and imo the wrong image for me
It made enough sense to heart snd mind that I could put up with the price/expense/hassle of owning it. Can’t say the same about the competition at the price point.

Lots of 45e's in the north shore. We went to Rice Lake once to hike with the kids during summer, there 4x including ours, and 3 of them were carbon black with the same exterior and wheels. My son was amused.
