My two favourite sets were the castle collections and the classic pirate ships (with the cloth sails). I got a vintage imperial ship and some Merlin house, but I always wanted a full on castle when I was a kid. That was mucho $$$ back then.

did you say castle?!?!:sweetjesus:
castle and pirate are my 2 favorite classic themes. unfortunately those were out of reach during my childhood. the pirates ships are sooooo hard to come by in decent condition. those cloth sails are usually falling apart or all sun faded. all the good condition ones are asking way too much. i have 6 ships waiting to be rebuilt, they did not survive the move 3 years ago.
haha pro tip: do not start a lego collection until youre in your forever home.

agreed!!! this is a great set. theres so much interior details and mini figs.
its expensive but pretty good value for the piece count.

R8 around 70k km:
- 5k repair for AC*
- 10k for magneride shocks (they will leak no matter which manufacture they’re in, GM/Audi/Ferraei)
- 10k for clutch

I sold my 10,000KM magneride shocks that I picked up from the dumpster to some dealer owner in Langley for $2k, maybe I should've kept them

A carfax claim of collision but value of zero means that they paid out of pocket?

From the Veloster?

It’s specifically the mag shocks engineered by GM that guaranteed leak.

They have the best ability to control shock curve across low and high speed
But are also the most needy.

I have a few castle sets, but not sure if my parents have given them away. We had the large one with a draw bridge and a ghost. I think I had a pirate ship but I was never really into it.

I thought my Raspberry Pi was broken. Turns out it was just the power supply. Replaced it and finally got a Pi Hole setup and running. :)

Badhobz 12-26-2024 08:31 PM

^hacker !!!!! Only hackers use raspberry pi’s. And often it is to program some remote address for a Lexus so you can jack it easily.

best ninjago dragon imo. what i hate about ninjago is its japanese themed but all the dragons are medieval

i underestimated how many pieces i needed to mod the tree house. 400 pieces here, probably needs another 600 to finish.

My old pirate ship sails are still in great condition but that’s because I left them in a plastic box in the closet for all these years. Hell that ship is 30 years old. I got it when I was 10.

I always liked the space sets in the 80's... I have this one in the box at my parents house and must have built it like 50 times

I never got into Legos, the most I had was a bucket or two of random pieces

Construx, now that was the shit. I loved the space themed ones with glow in the dark pieces

Thinking back, I liked how everything was geometrically precise, even though I probably didn't realize that at the time

TIL you can crack a countertop if you directly place a plastic tub of warm water (130F) on it for a few hours. That just made this budget steak dinner a lot more expensive.
