| Choice between cars
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but given that someone is in the market for a vehicle and that they plan on leasing, which of these four would be the most appealing to you? Any reasons would be helpful as well
1. 2012 Audi A4 Quattro
2. 2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI
3. 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart
4. 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX
Not quite in the same categories and the A4 is the most expensive but any input would be helpful. Feel free to suggest others as well.

A4>GTI>WRX>Lancer
The cars are in totally different classes. If he wants good fit and finish with decent performance at a reasonable price, go with the GTI.

Getting the A4 puts you danger of getting a girl who's shallow.
That'll never happen if you drove a corolla.
Just saying...
Anyways, I'd do the GTI or the Subey.

A4 or GTI. The A4 because it includes free maintenance - for leasing that is pretty win.

I would suggest test driving them. Get a feel for the cars.. Then you will know.

I really like companies that pay attention to the interior of vehicles. My personal favourite here would probably be either the A4 or the GTI. With the AWD advantage over the GTI I would probably go with the A4.

Given the choice, I'd go A4 hands down. But like someone said above.. they're in totally different classes..

Since you are leasing Vs buying, I would say get the A4....the cost diff vs others is probably +$100 to +$150.....but way more premium than the other vehicles considered. If you were buying I would say GTI due to fun factor and resale value.

like another member has said, test drive first. i personally think that the A4 and GTI has the best interiors. I would not consider the lancer as one of the top choices.
if you like to go snowboarding/skiing in the winter, consider the A4 or WRX.

I currently have an STI 6spd and a GTI DSG. Have also driven a B8 A4 6spd.
It really depends on what your priorities are.
Subaru: Great AWD system and resale value. More spartan but durable interior. A very raw and enjoyable car to drive.
GTI: Great interior quality. Fit and finish is top notch. Feels more expensive than it is. I found it a bore to drive though. Especially with DSG. Had a few problems with it, not a car I'd own but rather just lease.
A4: Fantastic interior. Take's GTI's fit and finish and adds some nice tech. The car I drove had B&O stereo, navi, blind spot warning system etc. Pretty cool features. Clutch was easy to modulate but lacked feel. 2.0T feels burdened under the Quattro drivetrain IMO.
Three very different cars. Inevitably, I really enjoy driving, and hence why I am selling the GTI and bought the STI. Both cars are an extreme contrast to one another though. As someone mentioned, drive them and you will get a feel for what fits your desires better.

Awesome, thanks a lot so far guys. I am leaning towards the A4 as well but the price per month is definitely about $150 higher than any of those other cars I mentioned. I know it is a different class altogether but I just wanted to consider all the options available really. Definitely intrigued by the GTI as well, the 2012 looks like it got a nice face lift |

Factor in the maintenance cost of the GTI, especially if you get a DSG version. DSG flush is not cheap.

Ask Mr. RCubed why he got rid of his A4
otherwise, I'd get a Ralliart because I'm a mitsu fanboy like that

Hey Freesole, I know leasing is very tempting because you get a better car than you could buy. In the longterm, leasing is a fancy word for renting. In the end you have minimal equity for the next ride and you are stuck with a monthly car pymt. Buy the facelifted GTI, make your monthly pymts and after 5yrs you will have some equity in your GTI (due to good resale) for a down pymt on your next toy..... or just keep driving it and enjoy no car pymt. Food for thought.

read that..
and for op if i could only choose between those 4..
wrx, gti, ralliart, a4 in that order.
none of these cars are really what i'd want to drive because you included no rwd cars in there. after rwd i would go with awd.. but i hate lancer's/evo's and audi's so that's why they are last and wrx is first. gti is not bad but i really dislike FWD even if the interior is sexy and everything.
so from your list: wrx. but i would rather go with a rwd car. unless you really care about driving in the snow and all that jazz..
TIP: if you get a 3 series now you can get mad discounts because they are rolling out the new generation next year.
