Once again my workplace is hiring a few students to be tech support a Faculty in UBC. You'll be doing some IT troubleshooting and even get your hands on some audio visual equipment troubleshooting as well. If you have tech support experience, you should apply. The ideal candidate should have lots of availability throughout the week in the Summer, have previous IT related jobs and will be a student in UBC for a couple more years. Job posting is up on Careers Online, ID 799079.

Found out that I don't actually need to take Phys 101 this summer like I thought I did. So I figured I would take an elective related to my degree since I paid the $100 deposit. Choosing between "Small business management in Agri-food industry" and wine science. Anyone taken wine science and have thoughts about it? I've heard its kind of tough

If you're friend really wants to come you can text me

I wouldn't pay anything more than 20 period. Quote:

I just did course evaluation
It's funny how psyc prof evaluation actually asks whether the course was about themes and concepts not "rote memorization"
I guess they're quite aware about profs just expecting u to memorize course textbook and got a lot of complaints about it
Too bad Hewitt is a teneur and doesn't give a fuck. Fucking hate this class. Although he was really nice to me.
Some tips from this semester :
Tiffany Potter (heard she's a hard marker but Idk cuz haven't got marks back for anything yet) is a really good English (literature) prof. I really enjoyed her class. She's very enthusiastic about her field.
Alexander Hart's class - prepare to do a lot of work. A lot of my friends told me he's an asshole. But he's pretty nice to me.
Stefan Dollinger is pretty cool too. He's been really easy on marking this semester. Also an English (language) prof
And like I stated above. Fuck Paul Hewitt. He doesn't even have office hours.
From last semester :
Sioban Mcelduff: classical studies 105. Chill prof. Fun to talk to during office hours. But TAs mark everything
Janice Stewart: fun prof as well. Pretty interesting gpa booster. Forgot what the course was called but it was human security literature course.
Vin Nadizzi: great Shakespeare prof. Tests you on concepts and themes not on your writing skills despite the fact it's an English literature course.
Emilia Nielson: cool prof. But strongly disagreed with TA's marking. Overall course was interesting but I wish I didn't take it. WMST 105
Suzy Anger: way too much course reading. Highly don't recommend this course unless you're taking two or three courses Posted via RS Mobile |
