King checking in: just tried the pho at the food stands at the SUB, better than I expected: the soup broth was ok just the noodles were too thick compared to regular pho noodle places. Overall I give it a 7/10. Posted via RS Mobile |

The noodles were horrible, I got noodles that were all cut up to be around 2cm long and soup was not as warm as I expect of pho soups. Eating pho from a bowl with bean sprouts, lemons, and all of that good stuff just isn't the same as eating it from a cylindrical paper container. That being said, it wasn't too bad of a noodle soup. It just doesn't deserve to be categorized as pho. Posted via RS Mobile |

are we talking about "the moon" downstairs sub, or is there another place? I tried the "beef noodles" at the moon and they were decent, its not named pho though as its a chinese place anyways
but im guessing you guys are talking about an actual pho place that i havent seen before...
if so where is it?

The "pho" place we r talking abt is located where subway and A&W is. Yeah, the noodles at the moon is pretty descent, one bad thing is that they hv a soup (the ones u use in the shower) taste due to the materials required to make the noodles. Its kinda stupid how they hire a kid to make the noodles for you. Posted via RS Mobile |

That pho stand is garbage imo. The meat is quite good but the broth and noodle is terrible. But then again, most food stands in the SUB are garbage. I mean why can't we have a standard mall's food court.
The ones at the villages are a lot better if you don't mind walking a bit.

Macmillan has an amazing (and usually deserted) study lounge on the 3rd floor. Also in regards to the Pho at the SUB I'd say its decent but only when you're really craving pho..in terms of Asian food The Moon is as good as it gets in the SUB |

Where do you guys go to study? | i actually find studying inside an empty classroom to be quite productive. Less ppl walking around and u can take up a few seats also.

Henry angus's classrooms in the 3rd floor is usually empty if you need to study in the evening. Avoid dlam and birmmingham. CA hall is also pretty deserted past 5. If you can tune out the occasional dbag 1st and 2nd year business students then its a pretty cool place to study.
Theres a triple o beside angus that opens till 9 or something. Its not bad.
