You don't need math, but I'd take it anyways just because it's something useful if you ever want to take math at ubc (if you don't take math or <80% you need to write a math test ). If you have the room in your schedule, take math 12. It isn't that hard if you put some time into it.

My average going in was 90.5 which is very low (for sauder), but I like to believe my supplemental was pretty good which is what got me in. Anyway, good luck over the school year and I hope to see you there next year!

For those who live in Richmond, which route do you take to arrive at and leave UBC the fastest?

Depends what time

During rush hour I find sky train and 49 or 99 faster than 480

Was on campus today for a volunteer orientation for opening day at residence and then I visited my friend who just moved into Marine Drive res and friends who got a place at the village. Really wishing I were living on campus again this year, stupid wait list

I believe the bbq's are usually funded by the department and then the 4th years just buy the beers. The faculty is fairly small so splitting the cost of the beers amongst the 4th years isn't too expensive. They have one other event for the second years where the 4th years pay for the food and beers at the pit pub. Keep in mind this was a couple of years ago. The faculty is a bit bigger now so I dont know if 4th years still pay for it lol.

I take the 480 to get to school. I get to bridgeport skytrain a bit early and just wait in line to get a seat on the bus so I can just sleep. Going home I just take any bus as long as it doesn't hit traffic jams (ie the one going through kerrisdale or something). All the buses will eventually (excluding the 480 back to richmond) hit a skytrain station and then I just skytrain back to richmond.
