Even more props to you for getting into law school with an econ major... One of my cousins graduated with an econ major and he now farts on his chair in front of a computer at home all day long doing nothing

You definitely didn't need an economics grad/PhD to tell you the economy was in the shitter in 2008/2009

i mean, instandneedles cousins could have just applied for other jobs instead of just sitting at home.

I'm sure he can find something descent even if its not related to economics.

Economics is way too general and all theory. And you really need a graduate degree in economics in order to become an economist. But it does teach you analytical thinking and you'll definitely understand the world and the economy more. Some of my friends who are graduating with me have jobs lined up already, most of them in business doing all sorts of random stuff. Others are going to graduate school or doing the diploma in accounting etc. But most haven't even started looking or still don't know what they want to do. Its really up to the person if they are motivated enough to get off their asses and figure something out

Go slow and angle your car? My car is quite low even in stock form though lol.

Oh and this thread is alive! UBC threads usually die but maybe we can keep this one going.

Well, the thing is that he thinks his econ major will get him top notch financial/accounting jobs right on the spot. He's not willing to settle for more entry level positions (bank teller, sales rep, etc) because he cant let his pride down being in his late 20's (which imo, isnt really that old for him to start being picky over his jobs).

^ He must be dreaming lol. He is not going to get those kinds of jobs with an economics major and that's reality.

He should start at a bank as a CSR and work his way up. The stuff he learnt in econ isn't really applicable to those kinds of jobs.

You post this in a UBC thread, and you think another option besides 'yes' actually exists?

The open parking lots on Agronomy near the Starbucks if you only have class twice a week.

I actually parked in front of the bookstore without paying for the whole summer and only got caught on the last day of classes.

bookstore parking is the heatiest parking in the whole ubc. you are better off parking behind the music building which i did for the whole summer and got ticketed only once.

another hidden place to park is behind the anthro/soci building on northwest marine drive across from rose garden. I parked there alot and havent been caught.

lets keep this thread alive !

i've taken phil 120. Its easy but annoying since u gota go to the lab to do the quizes which are timed. No midterms or papers or finals tho. All quizes (10 or something)

If you're looking for a gpa booster, definetly go for phil 120.

And go park at bookstore and don't pay, cus honestly, i'd take the risk of getting ticketed maybe at most twice in the semester, then paying the hefty parking fees.
