BTW who thinks "UBC" kicks "SFU's" ass in terms of Fame give me a HELL YEAH !

*cause i still think UBC represents the University for BC and not SFU haha, its just like UT is more powerful compared to "York" in Toronto.

^ for someone about to graduate that kind of stuff is still important for you?

school is school, what's important is you getting employment. Whether you're from sprott shaw, UBC, or SFU I'll give you equal props for getting a job in your relevant field of study.

6th year of being enrolled as a "student" at UBC here, the plan is to graduate in my 7th. This includes 2 years of coop/work and faculty-switching.

And for relevancy to this thread, I'm not at UBC this term. Again.

i was jus sayin.. lol , wasnt being serious at all. I'm sure it is important to some 1st or 2nd year fellow rs'ers here. I personally also think that UBC "sounds" better than SFU. We'll leave it at that shall we?

^ in my opinion, i think ppl who join CVC are actually "CBCs" LOL and HKSA is just a club for hong kong students to get together. Nope i never joined any student clubs in my 5 years at UBC LOL.

CVC has been awesome. I know a lot of people in CVC and the things you do are amazing. You meet so many cool people and do lots of fun things. Of course, as with any other Chinese clubs like CCS, CSA, DSC, Yours, CVC and whatever else, you need to be part of the exec team, AND you also need to be active in order to get positive results. Otherwise you're just wasting your time.

CVC's External Communications team do really cool things like shooting videos. See some of their past videos: Videos

Ubcsecure has been having issues since the start of September. At first it was simply overloaded due to too many users. That was fixed in 2 or 3 days by adding more servers. Now it is regarding their DHCP servers running out of IP addresses. That is being looked at right now.

Patience. It's hit or miss. Use ubcvisitor or even better, use 3G tether if you have a smartphone.
