I agree, I got bored of it pretty quick. It is very formulaic, and even though has some likeable characters, gets old fast.
The main problem is that there is never a threat. Even though there are 'bad guys' you always know that the good guys are going to prevail in the end. It never seems like they will ever lose, and that is really boring.
For a REALLY GOOD lawyer show, check out The Good Wife. It is so much better than this show, and has SO many more likable - and hate-able - characters. Good Guys are always in jeopardy, and sometimes things happen that you never expect.
I think the difference is the style. Good Wife is very much a drama while Suits is more of a comedy/drama.
Suits is what happens when you take lawyers and mash it up with CSI and Ocean's Eleven. It's entertainment, the dialogue is fun and the show maintains a quick pace.

Totally agree. I like both shows, but I wouldn't compare them to each other, they're on differing wavelengths. But, both are excellently written and highly entertaining.
Franklin and Bash is as entertaining as Suits I think, but it's also as different as the Good Wife. Which I think is a good thing, it's too bad the Defenders was canceled I quite like Jim Belushi
I still think the best lawyer show is the original Law&Order...which did get old after 20 years but they showed them losing, which was nice. Not often, but boom...that guy is walking on murder.
