wow, what an episode, had me on a roller coaster ride for sure, i know it's an overused term, but EPIC. I only hope they continue the killer soundtrack like they did for this season finale, it'll just bring this show over the top.
watched this with my gf and after that ending with Rachel, thrusted my gf and just had the best sex of my life, lol
Was not disappointed with this thread...I knew when I opened it I would find a screen shot of the ass.
Unpopular opinion...but I wasn't crazy about the finale episode. Too many people seemed out of character.
And I hated that they whored out Rachel, and had them raw dogging it in the file room.
I think it's one of those things where when emotions are running high, people often break character. That said, I didn't really think there were really any big jumps from the norm for any of the main characters. Kinda curious who you're thinking about.
I'm going to spoiler up just in case someone actually waits for it to air on Bravo...which no one does because of the internet..but anyway.
Spoiler!
Rachel. The one thing that Dino and I both agreed on was that we appreciated that while she is fucking hawt...they never whored her up. She was always smart and beautiful. Actually the same with Donna. They focused on the brains and the beauty was a side benefit(you know, 'cause tv)
So I understand where they were going with that scene, in that she realizes that this secret is what kept them apart, and now that he told her...she gets a little randy.
But, I LIKED the fact that she could be sexy, but still keep her legs shut. It built up the sexual tension. It made 'them' a challenge. And I think, given what we got to know of her character, its OUT of character for her to raw dawg it in the file room, 8 Mile style. in fact, it stood out as so out of character, that it reminded me that this is tv, and we want ratings.
But that isn't the only major player in the episode. Jessica. Her character to me has really been what makes Suits a little different. She's always been the one pulling the strings from a distance. Devious, but classy. Powerful, but humble. In this episode though, we see her directly threatening Mike.
Well, that creates a few issues. One, it forces me to re-buy into the premise of the show. We're all willing to accept that Mike never went to Law School, but he's so good we let it pass. We ignore that the idea that rich Wall Street lawyers would risk their careers, the firm, the partners and all their equity on getting sued into the stone ages if people found out he was a fraud for the sake of good tv...otherwise, its just LA LAW with sexy people. Got to give it a spin.
But I don't get the impression that Mike would continually feel a hammer over his head of, "do this, or go to jail". That's my take on his character. And my take on Jessica is she wouldn't have her prints on the gun that was held to someone's head.
One person that I thought had a great arc in the episode was Lewis. That man was bang on to character. I loved that part with he and Donna, "yeah, I screwed him, because I would screw me." Loved it.
So in all, it was an 'ok' episode. I don't think they really built up the British firm merger as something to fear, so ultimately no one really feels which way to land on it-so you have Jessica on one side and Harvey on the other, but as viewers we didn't know really why we should be following Harvey going to such extremes to prevent the merger, other than assuming its evil because Scotty is a bitch(and not really that hot. Anyone else agree? She has that damned constipated look like she's rushing through the scene to get somewhere more urgent)
